JF-17 - Updates, News & Discussion

Can anyone guide how many we are producing JF 17 Thunder in 2025? I am asking these question i am going to write a article on this.

agreed. disclosing that PAF was listening to rafale radios was foolish, so was the claim that their SATs were jammed. you have jammed it? well and good. no need to reveal everything. should have just said that we shot them down, that is it.
Understood but did disclosing that effectively knock the IAF out of the war and ensure they didn’t have another go? Also, didn’t we disclose similar details in 2019, yet 6 years and 36 Ra-fails later they got hammered much much worse? Like our AVM said ‘they’re slow learners’🤣

20 years or 40 does not depend. It is depends how much hr it is used. Normally Jets has 10 to 16 years life when jets are run 2hr on daily bases.
That's the point, is it worth upgrading airframes that are heavily used when we can build new ones?

Yes it's said to be the latest type in service with both PAF and PLAAF.
For PAF's JF-17B3 and J-10CE pilot helmets, refer here. This is the official answer.
PLAAF's own version of the HMD comes in a variety of styles and, is constantly being upgraded. It's hard to say which one is the latest model.

Is this true that JF Thunder 17 quota is 200 units?
According to the contents of public documents, the total production of the JF-17 program of the Sino-Brazilian cooperation is 200 units.
There are no other publicly available documents that indicate that this production total has been added or modified.

Yes when you know that you have broked every inch of India ego. We should remove 200 units quota for JF 17 Thunder. Pakistan has to now be more serious AD and upgrade.

What happens after we get 200 units? What happens to Block 4, which is rumored to be dual engine. Cant we produce more 200 units even if it is not modified?

There is no definitive information at this time.

According to the original agreement, AVIC was the shareholder with 50% of the shares within the production of these 200 JF-17s. There are no public documents on what happened after that agreement ended.

I can only guess.
The JF-17 PFX is said to be a follow-on program proposed by Pakistan. There is no mention of AVIC in Pakistan's public documents.AVIC is also not mentioned to be involved in the PFX program.
However, there is no possibility that Pakistan will complete the PFX program on its own.AVIC may participate in the program as a general supplier and no longer as a shareholder.

But I think Pakistan should terminate the JF-17 program altogether and invest the limited funds in other more worthwhile programs. the JF-17 has no value for further development.

Got your point. Sorry for asking off the topic question but is there any soild evidence that we get more than 36 J 10C maybe 50 and J 35 in 2026 late. Is this rumors or true?

So far.
There is no conclusive evidence that PAF has placed an additional order for 20 J-10CEs after purchasing them.
Nor is there any hard evidence that PAF has placed a purchase order for J-35s with SAC.

As for the Chinese factories:
CAC's Guizhou plant could begin production of J-10CEs for PAF at any time, but it would require PAF to place an order first.
SAC's new factory is not yet fully ready. My speculation is that it could officially start production of the J-35 in 2026. but SAC has to fulfill orders from PLAAF and PLA Navy first. If PAF places a purchase order for J-35, it will need to queue that up as well.
