Joint Defense Agreement: Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan, news & updates

Yeah Egyptians got to look out for Egyptians first and foremost. Egypt over the last decade has already received a lot of financial support from the GCC especially Saudi. Its not like Egypt will get more by joining this pact. Im not sure about the position of the president of Egypt and how legitimate he is according to his own people and how long he will stay in power so he probably has more things to worry about than going to war.

Nevertheless like NATO, countries can join further down the line like any alliance and if i had to put my money down, Id say Egypt and Jordan do join sometime down the line.

Jordan - I don't see that happening. They are too busy defending Israel, to ever act against Israel. Jordan, has always been rather untrusty worthy in Arab affairs, look into the history of how many times they have betrayed Egypt/Syria in wars against Israel.

Super powers don't think with emotions...they plan for decades ahead of time.

Maybe in the past. The global pandemic of Short Attention Span has changed not just the ordinary people: Also changed the leadership, which really boils down to half a dozen people in some inner cabinet making decision. And even there, often just one man with a few Yes Men around. Look at how Trump shredded the JCPOA in no time which the Obama admin took years of hard work to formulate and implement.

I don't know why people don't understand policy of active hostility towards Israel is not what Egypt could afford do hey want Egypt to go towards the direction of Libia, or Syria or Iraq ???
Some people may have difference of opinion but they need to understand one thing as said by former President of Egypt "Egypt could fight war with Israel but not with America" this is the sad truth for every Muslim country including Iran.

It is a tendency in several forum members to call nations' leaders as 'stooges' or 'puppets'. Most of that is driven by such members' dislike of the current ruling setup, thus driven by their respective countries' domestic politics. Such keyboard warriors are to be seen here from multiple nations. And these warriors are, of course not, responsible for the lives and the well being of the millions unlike the 'stooge' leaders.
