Spitfire Mk Vb AB910 Returns to the Air​

After more than two years undergoing extensive maintenance at Biggin Hill, Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Spitfire Mk Vb AB910 has flown again. The 84-year-old fighter completed its post-maintenance air test and now wears the historic D-Day markings of 402 (City of Winnipeg) Squadron, RCAF.​

Spitfires.com Announces Historic UK Circumnavigation to Mark 90th Anniversary of the Spitfire​

To mark the 90th anniversary of the Supermarine Spitfire’s first flight on March 5, 1936, Spitfires.com is organizing a unique circumnavigation of the United Kingdom using a restored two-seat wartime Spitfire painted in the prototype K5054’s colors. The nine-flight tour, conducted in partnership with the Royal Air Force, will visit key historic locations tied to the aircraft’s legacy while raising funds for the Mark Long Trust and the RAF Benevolent Fund.​
