A photograph from Exercise Midlink 78, held in 1978, when air and maritime forces of Pakistan and the United States operated together off the Karachi coast and in the surrounding airspace and Arabian Sea. The image shows a USAF F111 Aardvark leading the formation, with two F4 Phantom IIs and a PAF Shenyang F6 tucked in low at the rear, a rare glimpse into decades old Pak US military cooperation.
