Security forces kill 22 terrorists in North Waziristan operation: ISPR

Security forces have killed 22 India-sponsored terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s North Waziristan district, the military’s media affairs wing said on Tuesday.

In a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said an area sanitisation operation was being conducted from May 17 in North Waziristan’s Shewa general area “based on credible intelligence leads with respect to presence of khwarij”.

Fitna al Khawarij is a term the state uses for terrorists belonging to the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

During the operation, troops “effectively engaged khwarij location and after [an] intense exchange of fire, 22 khwarij belonging to Indian sponsored Fitna-al-Khwarij have [been] sent to hell” in the last 24 hours, the ISPR said.

It added that weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed terrorists, who “remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area”.

The ISPR revealed that “evidence further confirms that khwarij coerced and intimidated the local population, forcing their compliance to obtain safe passage using them as human shield”.

“Such deplorable acts are highly condemnable and no justification can rationalise the endangerment of public lives,” the military said.

The sanitisation operation is currently in progress “to eliminate holed up khwarij from the area”, and security forces have effectively cordoned off the area, the ISPR added.

Devine Retribution
An Ugly Face of Fitna Al Khawarij

🔺On 19 May 26, in Manatu area of Central Kurram infighting started between FAK Kazim (Noor Wali Mehsud) group and FAK Mumtaz alias Umatti (Hafiz Gul Bahadur) group over distribution of loot money and “toy boys”.

19 x Kharjis of Umatti group were sent killed including Mumtaz alias Umatti while 3 x Kharjis of Kazim group joined them in hell.

Umatti group was invited on dinner by Kazim and betryed, a typical Kharji instinct.

🔺It was not long ago, FAK backed by master proxy Afghan regime and Indian masters mustered a group of criminals against Pakistan. They were confident enough they will achieve goals in months especially once they made Political-Terror-Criminal nexus strong.

🔺However they forgot in Surah Al-Anfal, Quran says "_They plan, and Allah plans. And Allah is the best of planners_”. Pakistan Armed forces stood like Bunyan ul Marsoos against them and crushed their every single design.

▪️Their physical actions were thwarted and heavy casualties inflicted.
▪️Their safe havens in Afghanistan were destroyed.
▪️Their economy was stranded by controlling smuggling and destroying drug fields.
▪️Their public support diminished due to their own actions.

🔺Now, FAK is stranded and left with little options, so they are behaving like serbian wolves, once no food eat each other. This is what you call Karma & wrath of nature, you fall in the pit you dig for others‼️‼️

May these Kharjis rot in hell!!

May 23, 2026

BANNU: At least a dozen terrorists were killed while a man died on Saturday during heavy fighting between a police peace committee and militants in the Barakzai Akhundkhel area in Miryan tehsil of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bannu district.

District Police Officer (DPO) Yasir Afridi confirmed to Dawn that 12 terrorists had been eliminated, while “one [individual] was martyred” and four policemen were injured during the police action.

Bannu Medical Teaching Institution spokesperson Mohammad Nauman Khattab said the deceased was brought to the District Headquarters Hospital and was said to be a “retired personnel of the Federal Constabulary”.

According to police sources, the police party managed to reach a police station safely after fighting back against the attackers, and additional reinforcements were called into the area.

Local sources said a large number of militants were present in Barakzai, keeping the situation tense as an intense exchange of fire continued from both sides.

Separately, Bannu police also averted a major tragedy by defusing a 10-kilogramme remote-controlled bomb planted near Gul Zaman Mosque in Mamash Khel on the Bannu-Miranshah Road.

The bomb disposal squad successfully neutralised the explosive device during a timely operation.
