MIRANSHAH: Two serious incidents in Lower South Waziristan on Tuesday evening have sowed fear and panic across the region. In one incident, unidentified armed men abducted a police constable, while in another, a government girls' high school in Janan Kot was destroyed in an explosive blast.

According to police officials, Constable Sabeel Noor Wazir was on his way home near the football ground in the Dogh area of Wana when armed men forced him into a vehicle at gunpoint and took him to an unknown location.

The Kharijite insurgency had established a strong stronghold in the Palosinzai area of Miran Shah in North Waziristan, from where various terrorist activities were planned and carried out. An effective operation against these terrorists was launched on June 2.

So far, 45 Kharijite terrorists have been killed, including a key target, Kharijite Khalid Reza Salar, who was the regional commander of the Kharijite Gul Bahadur Group in Palosinzai. A bounty of 4 million rupees had been set on Khalid's head.

So far, the bodies of 25 terrorists have been recovered, while a large quantity of weapons and ammunition has also been seized.

Three major strongholds of the Kharijites, including the Samiullah Complex, Abu Zar Complex, and Imdad Complex, have been completely destroyed.

This operation has proven to be a major blow to the Kharijite Khawarij network of the Gul Bahadur Group in North Waziristan.
