Why do Pakistanis work so cheaply ? Zia was offered $3 billion in aid , which he called peanuts but still took it. Then 20 years later Musharrad accepted the same pitiful amount from Bush II in aid. If Americans are getting paid billions you should be able to charge couple hundred million at least.

Aid was increased to $5 billion along with F 16 ...it was not peanuts for that era ...I have yet to come across someone with such bias and pathetic take on everything regarding Pakistan... keep in mind it was aid not a loan

They (khaleeji Arab governments) will value in having well placed incomes for the military organisations involved, but nothing will benefit the ordinary Pakistani civilian in any of these Arab countries. Their foreign policy with the military pacts are to keep the Pakistan military strong amongst defending a few mosques, palaces and rest of it all, which overall is admirable at a few billions but the common man whether doctor, engineer, labourer etc would get berated, deported etc. These are good things for Pakistan military's prescence, just not well scripted or cared for Pakistan as a country.

On a lighter note, Ronaldinho can probably play better than all of PAF's football team and might even benefit with a JF-17.

What are you expecting for " ordinary Pakistani " ? .... double their salaries? ... looks cool talking about " ordinary Pakistani " without basic understanding of what these pacts/agreements are all about.

They want to use Pakistan as a cannon fodder because the Arab monarchies don’t have patriotic citizens that will fight to die and preserve these corrupt monarchies. As others have said, the average Pakistani and economy won’t see any benefit from the Saudi and Kuwaiti and other similar deals. It’s just to line the pockets of the GHQ generals and paint a nonexistent image of the regime in power. The army generals have spectacularly failed to contain the BLA & TTP and assorted Taliban and India backed militant groups, how can they contain Iran or the Houthis? Makes no sense.

Regarding your second point, no country has the absolute freedom to pursue its own foreign policy independently. This is especially true when major global powers pressure smaller nations to align with their interests. Our only choices are to comply or risk facing severe isolation, similar to the fates of shithole afghanistan, Iran or Libya. As for your first point, it comes across as highly arrogant , people in this business understand how to leverage

Tell me who are all these Pakistanis going to GCC every year, elite? Why Kuwait lifted ban on Pakistanis in June 2025? And this deal now will only increase the quota.

Americans don't charge them for billions. The collective cost is in trillions.

1- Americans force them to invest in the US (This is in trillions of dollars). Just now few months ago Trump forced KSA and UAE to invest in US with Trillions of dollars.

2- Because they are under US security architecture, so US sell them american made weapons at whichever cost the US likes. Sometimes 3 to 6 times more than what they sell to their european friends. On top, they are always sold with restrictions (like no F-35 and no weapon system that can threaten Israel). Selling them weapons which are inferior to what Israel receives in national policy of the US. Israel gets for free anyways.

The reason Pakistan was ahead of India in GDP per capita for must of its history despite inheriting stupid tribal population and zero industrial base is support from USA. Sure Pakistan could have done better, like continue to bet on USA and not fucking Taliban.

USA is biggest economic power and market on earth. China will not uplift you economically as they are mostly interested in raw materials. Americans will rather transfer tech to not get their hands dirty. While Pakistan-USA relations were all time high in Afghan jihad, India was working behind the scenes to setup their IT services exports to USA.

USA is the reason you could dare to stand up to 7x bigger India in early years.

One can badmouth USA as much as one wants however you can't logically deny the fact that USA provided you with every opportunity to develop your economy... USA provided more opportunities to Pakistan than to most of the world...the smart countries took advantage and prospered and we wasted the opportunity.

US will also NOT uplift you economically as its only interested in its own self-interests. It only YOU yourself who will uplift you economically.

I am not saying to go against US. But we should not bet entirely on US. It can't be trusted as proven by history. Its a super power and that's why it's immune to accountability and it can use countries as tissue paper for its own strategic advantages. So while we try to extract any economical, technical benefits but we can't drive national policies based on US dictation. It would be suicidal. We have to keep fine balance.
