Lebanon-Israel War | 2023-present

Shut up dude, you can't BS me, Hezb portrayed themselves as the protectors of Lebanon, they're supposed to have anti ship capabilities, the Lebanese Army is poor and is in no condition to fight Israel, and if the guy they took was apparently a member of Hezbollah, how is it the failure of the Lebanese Army?

Sure, Hezbollah is fighting back, that's why. But Hezb went from "We will conquer the Galile" to "Israel cannot penetrate deeper than 2-5km into South Lebanon", and this number is rising, slowly but steadily, while Hezb has way more casualties than Israel every day. Almost everyone I know from Hezb is either dead or wounded, you think the situation is all fun and games? Lebanese people suffer greatly, whole villages were wiped out completely.
Lebanon's political complexity is not a secret and everyone knows it, there are people in Lebanon who are more loyal to west/Israel than they are to Lebanon, like when people caught Israeli spies and handed them over to the Lebanese army only to be released by army just after one phone call from US.

Hezbollah is fighting two fronts, IDF directly, and then some traitor Lebanese peoplr which are small in number but like to lick boots of US and the west

Very embarrassing for the ‘Lebanese Army’ since he is part of the “official armed forces of Lebanon”..

Lebanese army might as well spend their time farming, making food for people. They are all but an army in name.

For the last month 80,000+ Israeli soldiers failed to penetrate more than a few kms of Lebanese territory or to hold ground in South Lebanon.

By contrast, a commando of 25 Israel special forces advanced approximately 200 kilometers (about 124 miles) into Lebanese territory to the north, which is under Lebanon’s military jurisdiction, & proceeded to kidnap a Lebanese licensed boat officer from his dorms in Batroun & retreat without having to fire a single bullet.

And they have the gall to demand Hezbollah hand in their weapons, withdraw from their own villages & territories & hand over the south’s defence to the military.

That old saying that one should drown themselves in water and die can be aptly applied to the Lebanese Army.

Why is the Lebanese “Army” “poor” with a 5 billion US dollar budget?

Don’t you think it is disgraceful that your “Army” is not fighting at least in South Lebanon against the invaders?

Some Lebanese Christians like to be the servants of the Jews.
They do not know that according to the Jewish religion, all Christians should be killed and the churches should be destroyed.

The Lebanese Military had since 2006 to prepare for future conflicts with Israel, probably not win, but for sure inflict damage.

To put it in perspective, not including the navy and air force, Pakistan has a $7.6 billion defense budget for a force of 560,000 active duty soldiers, and the Lebanese have a $4.7 billion defense budget for 80,000 active duty soldiers. Rough math: That means Pakistan is spending $13,000 per soldier to equip, train, house, and feed, while the Lebanese are spending $60,000 per soldier.

The Lebanese have enough funds to equip each soldier with quality gear, with Russia and China as primary suppliers and Pakistan, Iran & Co. as secondary.

A Pakistan Air Force officer in 2006 said, had the Lebanese invested in their armed forces, they wouldn't have been crying and instead fighting, and just the same, the army isn't doing jack shit now either while its country is being bombed.

They could have brought air defence systems from both Russia and China with some of that money.

Look at Syria now as Zionist planes no longer are able to overfly Damascus due to the presence of Russian and Iranian SAM systems.

Exactly. They could also have used this to their advantage to extract more from the West and East, using Russia and China as bargaining chips to tilt policy.

That's 18 years since 2006, and nothing to show. Disappointing.

What 5 billion? It isn't even 250 million dollars.

The war is between Hezbollah and Israel in their eyes, they don't want to die for Hezbollah's cause. The Lebanese people repeatedly told Hezbollah to stop or a real war will start. Now that it did, Hezbollah is at its lowest.

Shut up and fight like a man.

Stop arguing on an Internet forum. Join the battle lines.

Interesting.

What is the source for your claim that the Lebanese army has a $5 billion budget?
