Axios newspaper, quoting an American official:
Lebanon and Israel agreed on the terms of the ceasefire agreement.
Basic terms of the agreement:
- A mutual ceasefire by Hezbollah or any other armed group against Israel, and Israel will not act in Lebanon against targets on its territory
- Israel will be able to remain in Lebanon for up to 60 days from the moment the ceasefire is announced
- The Lebanese army will gradually deploy to all crossings in the country after the Israeli army withdraws
- Residents of southern Lebanon will be allowed to return to their homes
- Any purchase or production of weapons within its territory is prohibited - under the supervision of the Lebanese government
- The United States will chair the committee that will oversee the implementation of the agreement, and the American side pledges to allow Israel to act against direct threats in Lebanon and to ensure American assistance to protect its security.
- France will also be included in the supervisory committee.
