On November 27, Israel and Hezbollah agreed to a US-brokered 60-day ceasefire that calls for a phased Israeli military pullout after more than a year of war, in keeping with a 2006 UN Security Council resolution that ended the their last major conflict.

Under the agreement, Hezbollah fighters must leave positions in south Lebanon and move north of the Litani River, which runs about 20 miles (30 km) north of the border with Israel, along with a full Israeli withdrawal from the south.

Under the terms of its truce with Hezbollah, Israeli forces can take up to 60 days to withdraw from south Lebanon but neither side can launch offensive operations.

The ceasefire marked the end of the deadliest confrontation between Israel and Hezbollah since their six-week war in 2006.

So now that they're feigning a ceasefire... they expect to break and start this one anew.
I cannot expect anything better... NOT a single word from their mouths and written letters is true or trustworthy.

*My opinion on these Isareli strikes on Lebanon during the active ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon*

I am coming to the conclusion now that Israel agreed to the ceasefire with Lebanon and Hezbollah so it could fight Hezbollah on unfair terms - aka with Hezbollah's "hands tied".

I say this because from the damage that Gaza alone has done to Israel, it is CLEAR that Israel is unable to actually fight Hezbollah for more than probably a few months, so Israel "agreed" to a ceasefire with Lebanon, to cool the Hezbollah missile, rocket and drone barrels unleashing projectiles at Israel, while allowing it (through cheating and manipulation offcourse, with US supporting) to hit Hezbollah while it is restrained by the ceasefire agreement it agreed to and the internal Lebanese pressure on it.

If Hezbollah reactivates the kinetic phase of its war against Israel in support of Gaza, Hezbollah will likely fight until either Israel admits defeat, or agrees to peace/ceasefire terms that are overall in Hezbollah's benefit.

Israel is really weak-this war has confirmed that for people who are objective and fair.

Salam vows unity, justice and state authority in first speech​

Lebanon's new prime minister pledged Tuesday to extend state authority over all Lebanese soil after a November ceasefire ended a war between Hezbollah and Israel.

Nawaf Salam, in his first speech, said he would "extend the authority of the Lebanese state across all its territory" and "work seriously to completely implement U.N. resolution 1701" calling for Hezbollah to withdraw from south Lebanon.

Hezbollah and its ally Amal did not back Salam's nomination and Hezbollah described his appointment Monday as "an ambush" aimed at "disintegration, partitioning, elimination and exclusion."

Salam vowed to unite the Lebanese and to reach out to all sides across the political spectrum to help "rescue, reform and rebuild" his crisis-hit country.

"I'm not an advocate of exclusion but rather unity and my hands are extended to everyone so that no citizen feels marginalized," Salam said after a meeting in Baabda with President Joseph Aoun and Speaker Nabih Berri.

He added that he'll work to achieve justice for the port blast victims and fairness for depositors who lost their money amid an unprecedented economic crisis.

Every single missile and drone dropped on Israel shortened the length of the war.

In addition to that, had Hezbollah not joined the war and Israel executed it's decapitation package out of the blue, the result would've been similar to the 6 days war.

Imagine all the Hezbollah personnel not on the front, relaxed in Beirut, all the ISR equipment intact on the border, suddenly 15,000 pagers explode and all the leaders are assassinated followed by the 2000 airstrikes in 48 hours, followed by the land invasion. They could have even reached Beirut.

The Hezb fighters were all already mobilized on the border with 1 whole year of experience of operating under Israeli drones in a real-combat environment , they were ready to take on the invading army and they did in the most perfect way, Israel failed to capture all the first line of important villages, especially Khiam city.

Failures of Israel's new 'Spider' air defence system to confront Hezbollah drones:

Maariv: During the "Iron Swords" war, the #Israeli army operated a new system developed in "Israel" to intercept drones and missiles flying at low altitudes. The system is known as "Spider", and is considered a complement to the Iron Dome system.

During the war, this system was used practically for the first time to confront #Hezbollah's drone attacks towards the north.

One of the system's batteries was deployed in the Western Galilee, and in one case the system tried to intercept a drone, but the missile that was launched failed and hit a vehicle at the entrance to the Nahariya Junction, causing the death of a 27-year-old #Israeli.

As a result of this incident, the #Israeli army made improvements to the missile.

In another tragic incident, during the interception of a drone, a missile hit a "Wasp"-class ship belonging to the Navy, killing the soldier who was on board.

The investigation revealed that #Hezbollah attacked with three drones towards the coast of Nahariya and Acre, and when one of the drones approached the ship, the missile tracked it but targeted the ship's engine instead of the drone and hit it.
