Lessons for Pakistan from the Israel/Iran conflict of June 2025

A civilian employee posted at an Indian Air Force station in Assam has been arrested for allegedly spying and sharing sensitive information with Pakistan’s ISI.

The accused revealed that he had been in contact with Pakistani intelligence operatives since 2023 and was allegedly sharing confidential information in exchange for money, officials said.

lmao @Falcon26 just saw this
ISI still knows HUMINT huh

Intel agencies can’t be judged simply by tactical covert tasks. The ISI still being able to do this isn’t a surprise. Where ISI consistently fails in recent years is its methods and priorities do not improve Pakistan’s long-term strategic position. That’s why most of its decisions end up backfiring.

@RescueRanger

I know many of us are discussing implications for Pakistan in the thread about the Israel - Iran conflict thread. To save that thread and to gather lessons in a separate thread so it is not lost throughout that thread, I have made this thread.

Everyone, please share the lessons Pakistan should learn in this thread. I also put this thread in the strategic forces sub-forum because the central goal of Israel seems to be decapitation of the Iranian nuclear potential, equipment and personnel.
Again lesson for Pakistan, learn to say NO and stop acting like a beggar.

Build firewall of hell around Pakistan. Been nearly 30 odd years since chagai. Its long time. One would assume we have not been sitting on our arses since. Macron wants more nukes, Netanyahu is a fan of changez Khan. In todays world, no agrreement verbal or other wise is honoured or any rule based order exist except hard power.

Flex ICBM with thermonuclear warheads.

The main lesson for any nation including Pakistan make sure
Your missles or nukes do not threaten Israel in any shape or form.

That includes a defense pact with Saudi Arabia were by you try and guarantee nuclear umbrella

That shit won't be tolerated in Tele Aviv or Washinginton

They Israelies and USA have destroyed and forced regime change in
Iran
Iraq
Syria
Libya
and others on false pretences of weapons of mass destruction or threat to Western interests

And all of these nations had Russia. And china as allies

China, can't do jack we have learnt that also in this war accept diplomatic support against USA

Don't annoy Trump or nentyahu

Literally sharing an Indian source, lagge raho
Bhai, please use the keywords and google it by yourself. There are plenty of links there, including Pakistani media such as Dawn newspaper.

In my opinion the biggest lesson is to collect exact location of targets within enemy territory is a must for Pakistan.
The collected data set may tested through Iran so that may be used correctly during war times.

It's not isi job to set the strategic directions ....isi is a tool in the hands of policy makers , it's upto them how they apply this tool ... don't blame isi if your policy makers are your intellectual equals and are equally proficient like you in shifting the blame and claiming innocence.....btw , you are sitting at a very comfortable chair of morality , enjoying the sunshine without taking any responsibility..

BD becoming pro Pak

I think you are overinterpreting this to credit ISI.

BD hasn't became exactly pro Pakistan. It has chosen an independent foreign policy under interim and elected government. That means, cutting off unnecessary bitterness that Hassina caused with Pakistan at the direction of her masters.

Recent high profile visits tell a different story.... maybe you are right , you are using Pakistan to get better equation with India.

One word: UNITY

When the time comes (it's inevitable) there will be entities sitting outside Pakistan who will invite our enemies to come and attack us

there will be certain group of people (i don't have words to describe them) who instead of being united during the war will not spare a moment to criticize, moan, bitch and whine about the country, it's people, it's system and it's military

@Yasser76 you learned something new today even though you keep running around like a headless chicken and keep denying this incident.

Falcon whatever your name is, you consistently post anti Pak drivel for the sake of it, you claim to be "American" and we all know you are Indian, so stop the pretence on here, EVERYONE can see through you

Please share lessons Pakistan NEEDS to learn in this thread.

@KingQamaR @Meengla @maverick @Dalit @PAKISTANFOREVER @ghazi52
What can any Airforce do against the might of an Airforce which boasts 1000's of fighters? We cannot even compete with the might of the Israeli Airforce with their 100+ F-35's. They get the top technology + free stuff (practically) and they can continue to have technological superiorit over most countries. The best we can do is maybe invest more and more on ECM and Jamming to sort of make them useless.

Furthermore, I guess the 2nd best thing we can do is to invest on our Missile Technology to be able to hit even the furthese corner and with MIRV'd HGV/ICBM and be able to evade the best Missile Defense Systems. This proven tech, along with the ability to hide them in scattered positions and in deep underground silos with ability to withstand repeated attacks with bunker busters and count in thousands would almost certainly be enough to deter anyone.

I guess the difference being that none of those countries had nuclear weapons ......... and the guts to use them!

Libya gave up its nuclear program, gave up Pakistan as the country helping its Nuclear Program and we all know what happened.

Iran gave up its nuclear program, gave up Pakistan as the country which helped its Nuclear Program and is now facing a brutal war simply because it does not have nuclear weapons.

All this while North Korea and Kim Jong Un are sitting pretty while threatening to obliterate the continental US every few months without any blowback or renewed consequences. The lesson here is, you are only safe when you have the ability to annihilate the enemy even if it is mutually assured.

I think there needs to be a serious introspection on policies too. Tali do hathoon sa bajte hai. Expecting just the people to be loyal is one side of the equation, the state needs to follow the constitution by letter and spirit and provide the people sense of belonging. I think in recent conflicts with India most people were united, despite some being labeled as security risk etc.
