The attacks on SA infrastructure specifically economic interests will no doubt put pressure on MBS and the Saudi government. When SA attacked Yemen more than a decade back, Ansurrallah didnt have the asymmetric warfare abilities they do now. Economically SA has much more to lose. I wonder if this could put MBS leadership under pressure from within SA.

His war on Yemen has been a disaster. He dance with the Abraham accords has been a disaster. His support of the war on Iran has been a disaster as well.

I am not sure what the corrective process is in Saudi politics, but i would say his position should have become untenable by now ?
 
It's quite a disturbing situation!

My note: How to stop ballistic missiles that can't be intercepted? Apply "Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilahi Rajeun" axiom! That is, threaten a total destruction with thermonukes. Or, send in forces with 0% regard for own casualties, coupled with extensive robotic non-contact warfare capability, to impose a total extermination (Holocaust + Scorched-earth style) on the proxies.

Let me break one more for you... to see play out over time...
The center of gravity of the peninsula is moving towards Yemen... due to their expanding population and presence in every country on the peninsula... it is only a matter of time before they'll be the preeminent power in the peninsula. Those who do not see this, do it at their own peril.

Saudis cannot take on Houthis alone... they'd always need a coalition AND... drum roll... hope that it doesn't escalate inside saudi territory because the tribes and sects will instantly carve out their own niches...

The supply the houthis have is the issue for peace now, and Saudi coming to a fair and generous ceasefire

If the houthis want the fall of Saudi then Pakistan is compelled to deploy troops in saudi

But Saudis want a better negotiating position..
 
The KSA is like a bait to draw Turkey and Pakistan into a quagmire for all of their other means have failed. Time to be extra careful and immensely more proactive...
