Makkah Defence Alliance: Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan, news & updates

Bringing from Yemen Civil War thread as point is relevant here:

In end of day people can evolve and people should have reasonable levels of representation in government and local industries. People need to see a future and people of region need to start avoiding making all-encompassing threats which is making people panic and afraid of embracing change.

We also can say quiet part out loud, it's obvious Sunnis want Syria and believe it's theirs and Shia's want and have Iraq, believe it is there's. If it keeps both sides happy and puts sectarianism aside then so be it.

Let's heal and end these conflicts. Mecca Pact needs to take off because Arab and Muslim world desperately need to consolidate control over resources of MENA region for their foreseeable future. We are talking sources of water, fertile lands, natural resources (renewable energy /energy, minerals, gold and more).

^^

We cannot let China, Russia, USA or Europe take these over. They belong to Muslim world and for once we need to be selfish to secure our survival and future.

As a Arab Muslim I do not give a shit for China, Russia, EU or USA taking over what is rightfully ours. The MENA region is ours. The resources belongs to us. I am not saying let's be colonialists, no, we have the soft power and ethnic/religious bonds already. We are also centuries old victims of actual colonialism. These long standing ideological/ethnic disputes in region is hurting Muslim world so bad and outsider foreigners are pillaging resources of MENA region as a result.

We need Mecca Pact to evolve with more nations joining to salvage what we have left and take it back. I don't want France or China mining in our region and taking these precious resources. Nor USA, certainly not Israel. Cooperation is fine but them having absolute soverigenty over resources (due to undesirable conditions of host nations forcing them to sign contracts) is unacceptable.

No. The UAE expected Pakistan to support the Emirates against Iran instead of Pakistan “mediating” between Iran and the US.

The Emirates felt they had been giving billions to support the Pakistani economy for decades, as well as providing residency and jobs to millions of Pakistanis for decades.

In return, Pakistan did nothing—not even try to force or persuade Iran to stop trying to destroy the Emirates’ economy. So they said, “From here on, we go our separate ways. Allah Hafiz.”
Emirates is the source of the greatest poison in the Muslim world today. The rascals have done harm to Pakistan and multiple other nations, except India and Israel. You just don't see it for what it is. Though I will admit, we ourselves are partly blameworthy for our own demise in the Gulf. It falls on us to undo this damage.

So far, the Makkah Defence Alliance is only 58 days into its existence. Give it a few years before passing judgment on what it can or cannot achieve.

It’s like the IRGC fanatics who predicted America’s downfall by June 2026 after Iran fired a few hundred missiles. Now they’re clutching at straws, pinning their hopes on Donald Trump losing the US midterms. At the same time, the fear is growing that, no matter who wins, Iran will face annihilation.

Their probably going to apply the Assad model to Iran. As long as the iranians keep attacking her muslim neighbours, it makes no sense for isreali/america to destroy iran.

The best way for the iranian regime to stay in power now is actually to keep hitting the arabs, the more she hits the arabs the more useful she becomes for isreal. Because hitting the arabs wins no wars, while it harms the arabs and moves them further into the pits of isreal. Meanwhile the situation still allows the americans and isrealis to incrementally chip away at iran making her even weaker with each passing month.

Bye bye UAE. 👋

Pakistani elites are addicted to UAE,so ignored what was obviously happening

Yes exactly, internet commentators are convinced of their own YouTube rabbit holes, ultimately this is a small chapter of Iranian history and the continuation of Iran is far far more important, noting that Persia has worked with Judea before through the long history

well said bro.
if only we all muslims can unite and together we can defeat the evil satanist zionists. Entire Middle East belongs to muslims/islam, alongwith Palestine and Al-Aqsa and all that. No room for any illegal entity, its only Palestine.
INSHALLAH May we witness the liberation of Palestinians and Al-Aqsa soon within our lifetimes! We want to pray freely in Al-Aqsa as well, just like we do in Makkah and Madinah.

Saudis continue to occupy Asir, Jizan and Najran

Treaty of Jeddah

Removal of Saleh... from president to a dissident.

The British colonial rule of Yemen and Aden protectorate

To the PLC now under Saudis

As it stands ... it isn't me pushing down this tangent to prove a point....

Beyond rhetoric or jargon there isn't much substance behind the passion.
" going back to the British colonial days. Saudis occupy the same lands Brits did"
"Ones from najd became custodians."

These are your words arent they?

Then, Asir , Jizan and Najran arent territory that is Yemini beyond dispute.
So regardless - the question still stands - what aspect makes them Yemeni lands?

A contested Yemeni claim is not the same as undisputed Yemeni title.

You brought in Najd - then ran backing off when I disputed that.
Now you're showing a mix of military conquest(boo hoo - the entire world is military conquest) and tribal areas as some unjust outcome - great - have that cookie but do find the milk that proves these were unequivocally Yemini lands in the first place.

Aden and so on arent disputed lands that the Saudis claim - have your watercooler on whatever container you want but those arent under "occupation".

As it stands, you're basically finding ways to whine about the Saudis being a plant of the British - great have that paratha too and take the Chai that Saudis got themselves into this mess by supporting a corrupt dictator in Yemen..

But that does not absolve the Iranians of interference here or turn Yemen into a story in which only one outside actor has interfered which your entire 5 posts seem to be hell bent on.

The sooner Muslims realize that no matter how fancy or shiny a proxy or insurgent group looks or whatever they claims they will never be able to triumph or have similar influence than legitimate Govt, Houthis/Hezbullah/Taliban/ISIS/Boko Haram they are glorified and their message amplified in west for some disenfranchised audiance who see them as some holy Army taking a charge at all evil established state, while countries like America/Israel uses these Proxies to show to the world how Muslim world is radicalized and barbarians. No matter how powerful Hezbullah gets they will always remain a insurgent group which will need least amount of convincing for the world for Israel to bomb, but to bomb a legitimate Govt will be a bit difficult. I don't understand the end game for Houthis or TTP like fraction, they just want to keep fighting knowing that they will not be able to fully win or lose but their main purpose set by foreign powers is to just keep a Muslim estate in a perpectual state of war and weak.

What is that you're trying to prove?
Are you saying that they weren't?
Why did Saudis even feel like signing the treaty of Jeddah with Yemen to get them recognized as such...

I'm not going to rewrite history or change context to suite your point of view...
You can make your point regardless of going into revisionism on behalf of Saudis.
Outside of the territories under occupation of Saudis... they control or colonize, with Rashad Al-Alimi, the president, running much of his state affairs through Riyadh... the PLC is identical to the British Protectorate of Yemen... something that later became South Yemen.

A contested Yemeni claim is not the same as undisputed Yemeni title.

You're mixing stuff up...
Quote me where I brought Najd up... if najd can rule... and it's a free for all then so can Yemen... unless Saudis themselves dispute Yemeni claim or deny history... I'm not going to prove Yemeni title to the territory... nor is it needed.

Aden and so on arent disputed lands that the Saudis claim - have your watercooler on whatever container you want but those arent under "occupation".
The PLC literally operates from Riyadh! The military along with mercenaries are all organized by Saudis. The war is conducted by Saudis and their allies...

Saudis don't deny that either...
We had the Arab nationalist of forum from Saudia... who wanted to claim that as Saudi territory and gain access to the Gulf of Aden.

As it stands, you're basically finding ways to whine about the Saudis being a plant of the British - great have that paratha too and take the Chai that Saudis got themselves into this mess by supporting a corrupt dictator in Yemen..
They are indeed eating/cultivating the toils of what they sowed.
I wouldn't call just Yemenis corrupt... after all Saleh's own son is part of Saudi backed PLC.

But that does not absolve the Iranians of interference here or turn Yemen into a story in which only one outside actor has interfered which your entire 5 posts seem to be hell bent on.

Iranian interests and interference pales in front of what Saudis themselves have casted. A decades long off and on struggle. Only ripe for picking.

What I don't understand is... that orange clown claims he has Iran choked off from the rest of the world and Saudis have a parallel claim on Houthi held Yemen... in fact the latest round started when Houthis attempted to land in Sana breaking the siege.
How are both of these managing and coordinating?

30k troops is too large a number to deploy without more news etc(imho) reports, even in a media controlled (via GHQ) society like Pakistan. That is a very very large number of soldiers ?

There were some reports of PAF IL-76's being spotted in Saudi via flight tracker etc and it was thought at the time, that was due to providing refuelling services to JF17's that were deployed there.

So, could some more troops have been moved covertly via PAF IL-76's ? It is possible of course but i am not convinced yet.
A military commentator says that this deployment was done gradually and not all of a sudden.

MDA is just a political announcement for something that existed way before it being signed.

He rightfully concludes that MDA is not a military pact but a merely political announcement which justifies sending thousands of troops abroad.

However the report claims that Pakistani soldiers, commanders and military generals are there to protect the kingdom from external invasion and they won't take part in a ground attack on Yemen.

I guess that's a lame excuse. Until now, Yemen hadn't tried to launch a ground offensive against the kingdom.

The worst case scenario is that they are hiding the fact that Pakistani troops are fighting alongside Somalian and other purchased mercenaries for the kingdom.

Its not good for Pakistan as you know.
