It's not a matter of national pride. There is an undercurrent in Maldivian youth harbouring on Hindu-phobia and anti-India sentiments. This is primarily due to pursuing higher education in north Kerala(Malabar region) where anti-Hindu massacres are celebrated publically.Let me put it straight to

Has the Maldives harmed us?
Are we at war?
So three knuckleheads write tweets in very bad taste.
They also got uptight about the Laccadives opening up.
So what's going on?
Why is it now a matter of national pride to hunt down the Maldives?

Like we did with Nepal?
Got you. Right, check.
Oh, wait, that's wrong, it should have been Bhutan, right? Where we said you can't have a foreign policy of your own, and then went and gave away the ancestral lands of the ruling dynasty, because, like Jaishankar said, we are a teeny weeny little economy, and the Chinese are a B I G economy?
It's all clear now.
NOW I understand. It's not a matter of national pride. There is an undercurrent in Maldivian youth harbouring on Hindu-phobia and anti-India sentiments. This is primarily due to pursuing higher education in north Kerala(Malabar region) where anti-Hindu massacres are celebrated publically.
This brain-washing has started rearing it's ugly head, it must be crushed in the bud. Majority of Maldivian youth are extremely pro-India, almost to the extent of Nepal. But the ones that are toxic must be dealt with severely. India must use it's soft-power to influence public conduct of our neighbours towards us.
So it indicates a hostile intent on their side. What are you suggesting we do? Make them more hostile? Make them less hostile? Which?Strange question. A dude who ran 'Get out India' campaign becomes PM (after a roadshow with modi masks being beaten with brooms), three of his ministers call India smelly and Modi a clown, PM, apart from asking our troops to leave openly abuses our leadership, explicityly annoys us with plans to give china greater access/presence. All this does not indicate a hostile intent from their side?
Kill baby hitler.
I don't know whether it was school and a toxic atmosphere, or it was college, probably engineering, that rotted their brains away. That was brutal.
But I liked it.
Cheers, Doc
So it indicates a hostile intent on their side. What are you suggesting we do? Make them more hostile? Make them less hostile? Which?
Very clearly argued. We absolutely do, it is situated at a critical trade route and a anti India govt can totally screw us over by being our very own Cuba.
it's clear as day that china is funding Mizzu, and If you don't find that concerning then I have a private Island to sell you.
Also Strings of Pearls anyone,
Now you can question why having a Cuba right at our doorstep is bad for us, which I don't have an answer for, except the word common sense
At this point I am not sure I have enough data to come to a clear conclusion. There are many factions and "tribes" within Maldivian politics. My knowledge about them is basic at best.So it indicates a hostile intent on their side. What are you suggesting we do? Make them more hostile? Make them less hostile? Which?
Of course that will work.
