Yes it was same case but COVID was different beast and AstraZeneca caved in pressure from world and gave rights to production to Serum.

Another main reason was no one but Serum has capacity to scale up production and west wanted China to keep out because of IP so it only left India.

I wonder about the psychological make-up of people who have brainwashed themselves into thinking they were emasculated by the Muslim rulers of hundreds of years past, and seek to make up now.
