The UK has a far superior motorcycling culture though. Many cool motorcycles that are sold in Europe aren't even sold in the US. Also, one can easily visit the Isle of Man.

"Superior" in what way? Cultures can be different, sure, but claiming superiority of one over another is usually a mistake.

Yes, there is more variety of motorcycles in Europe, they tend to be smaller and cater to the relatively short distances over there, and the tighter cities. There, a thousand mile trip may take a week. Here, covering a thousand miles is but a day.

A story comes to mind: A friend and I were out west on an extended adventure trip, and we rode into a charming eclectic town called Madrid NM,, looking for a coffee house for a break. We parked our BMW GSAs, all loaded up, in the front and sat down. Into town came a whole parade of big rumbling Harleys, riders all dressed in black leather, studs, chaps and tassels, the whole kit. They parked up in a row on the other side of the road and strode into the same coffee house.

They were all Germans, riding Harleys in the US west. We, from Yankeeland, were out west on a pair of German adventure bikes. Go figure.

We all had a great time there. :D

(Oh, and for the Isle of Man, we have certain roads out West where you can go flat out for hours without a care. We tend to keep those areas to ourselves. ;) )
