But I thought India taught Pakistan a lesson and won with Operation Sindoor. Isn't India the victorious nation having avenged the deaths of Pahalgam? If so, then why such a defeatist attitude?

I can also appreciate you needing a mental escape valve after the cope of this year.

I really can, just try not to derail threads on it, plenty of other threads you can cope on about the military ass whupping.

Bottom line is, no cricket team behaves as poorly as this Indian one. Sad, as the decline was pretty much from Dhoni onwards I think. Went down hill from there.

Who can blame them? Terrorists attacked cricketers, the elite security personnel all cowardishly fled from the scene (Musharaff had promised "presidential security" to Sri Lankans), and left the visitors to their fate. The attackers weren't even shot dead or apprehended, in the largest city in the country. They went home for tea.

The security issues were resolved, leaving the true ideological front as the only "reason" for India throwing their toys out the pram every time a fixture against Pakistani gets thrown up by the fixture generator.

We don't need to play you, so stop asking and just forfeit until your ideological traumas are cured by some duty psychiatrist.

But why are you playing us? I thought you valued the honour of your Pahalgam victims? Or is it something you switch on and off like a tap?

Iran boycotts Israel.

Kindly instruct your government to do the same with us, and forfeit any matches at global tournaments accordingly.
 

‘Lack of sportsmanship’: Reactions pour in after India refuse to shake hands with Pakistan in Asia Cup​

Pakistan suffered an ignominious defeat at the hands of India, who beat them by seven wickets after beating the paltry 128-run target set by the Green Shirts.

However, the match had been marred by controversy from the beginning due to calls from across the border to “boycott” the fixture. It seems the pressure got to the players as well, with the Indian team refusing to shake hands with their rivals at the toss and after the match.

Furthermore, Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav was said to have “politicised” the win by bringing up the Pahalgam terrorist attack in India-occupied Kashmir, over which the two countries fought a four-day military conflict in May, saying the victory was “a perfect gift” for his nation.

From cricketers and politicians to fans and analysts watching the game, social media was rife with their takes on the scene.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi expressed his disappointment over the “lack of sportsmanship” in a post on X shortly after the match.

“Dragging politics into the game goes against the very spirit of sports. Let’s hope future victories are celebrated by all teams with grace,” he wrote.

Firstly say something about the topic.
Secondly have you brought any proof of the attack having Pakistan involvement? Now accept your nation attacked a sovereign nation with not 1 iota proof and got a bloody nose.
Now to bring it up at a sports event is a shity thing to do.

Indians themselves are stating that politics and sport ARE intertwined in their nation.

An exception to rules everyone else follows should be made to accommodate the special needs of this nation perhaps?
