Not jealous at all. Just bemused at the work ethic and incompetence. In my workplace, our client works with Infosys to ensure compliance. Infosys informed our client that certain certificated needed to be updated immediately, so a team of 5 from India jumped on a call only to find that the certificates they needed updating immediately were actually expiring 2 years down the line. Must have all been high on cow cola or dung. Incompetence of the highest order. It's no wonder there's going to be further mass redundancies coming soon.

I just gave you a real world example of the ethic and incompetence and can provide many more. The team in India advised a Multinational organisation that they needed certs updating. The Indian's failed to see the year on the expiration date which caused time and resource to be wasted for my team and our Multinational client.
Indian tech sector will be hit even harder as western firms are realising that the cheap labour isn't worth the poor quality output anymore.

AI bubble will burst sooner or later. Did you see what Altman commented yesterday? People shouldn't own personal ram, everything should go to data centers lmao.

What is happening right now is the multinational companies hedging on AI for better profits, it is not sustainable, China recently had it's own AI bubble burst, billions swiped off their stock market. Microsoft included everyone suffered like 500 billion usd loss.

What they'll do is layoffs + rehire in different capacity. Microsoft is a big Day Zero + Day One hirer in India. IIT, NIT and pvt universities etc.

Someone I know did a basic BCA + MCA degree and was hired by Microsoft for a 15LPA (inr) entry level role. This person wasn't particularly bright, pretty average I'd say from a lower ranked private university.

I looked into a VMWare Workstation solution for her Project Nomad but that is not supported although some questionable workarounds maybe available. She said she is willing to wipe off Windows to setup the Linux based Project Nomad. BTW, her laptop is one I sold to her some years ago: It is a power house for its small size of 14": An Intel Core 5 or 7 processor, 32 GB RAM, a dedicated video card. The only reason I sold was I needed even more RAM which the laptop could not support. So I bought this damn ugly heavy Lenovo Thinkpad I am using right now.

I seem to recall reading somewhere a number of years ago that Google actually encouraged this because so many of the hires were millennials or Gen Zers or whatever the heck they are now called.

The younger ones apparently don't like working in a "traditional" environment so a "new" environment was encouraged.
