Military retired officers getting civilians jobs

is there any estimate as to how many current as well as retired generals are occupying civilian posts? As well as Ambassador-ships abroad ??
This shit goes on while economy is in the gutter and gets worse each month!
I count five retired Faujis posted as ambassadors abroad.

Even if by design - the simple fact is that design is now accepted as fate by those who see no way out or being circumvented by the scrappy ones who see greater success only once they leave Pakistan.

That is a description of Pakistan that I cannot argue with. :D

No they don't.
Yes, veterans get hiring priority for many U.S. federal jobs through "Veterans' Preference," giving them an advantage over non-veterans, especially disabled veterans, by adding points to their scores or placing them higher in applicant lists, though it doesn't guarantee a job and doesn't apply to internal promotions, but the VA and other federal agencies actively support veterans with priority services and programs.
Federal Government Hiring
Veterans' Preference: Eligible veterans get priority over non-veterans for competitive federal service jobs (like postal, VA, FBI).
How it Works: Points are added to exam scores, or veterans are placed higher on referral lists, particularly disabled veterans (10% or more service-connected).
Resources: VA Careers and OPM.gov provide details.
State & Local/Private Sector
Priority of Service: The Department of Labor mandates "priority of service" at American Job Centers, meaning veterans get first access to job training and placement services over non-veterans.
Employer Programs: Many companies offer veteran hiring programs or prefer veterans due to their skills, even outside federal roles.

As if there is any comparison between the US economy and the tiny economy of Pakistan, where jobs are scarce to begin with.

How many federal or even state run entities are headed by ex-Generals in US? Few and far in between...

Even when semi-governmental orgs hire ex-military, e.g. defense companies it is to utilize their specific skills, PR, marketing and lobbying prowess...

No one gets a free lunch in the US, least of all no one gets to run any given organization into the ground and destroy it with impunity a la our esteemed duffer generals who are not even competent at their day job of soldering.

So fuking what? In US rtd military personnels get priority for civil jobs.
You have no idea what you are talking about. The US military has widespread popular support and veterans are genuinely respected, but they don't get any priority for jobs. They also almost never use their military ranks once they are in civvy street, unless their civilian role is defense-related.

Let us not be disingenuous here. These assistances/preferences are mostly for enlisted men or young officers who served for only a few years and left the military without pensions. There are certainly no civilian jobs reserved for American Generals like there are in Pakistan.

Yeah not to this extent especially not over far more competent and qualified people, you have blood sucking parasites sitting everyone in the government in this country often times while they are on retirement benefits, think for yourself do you think in a country of 250 million only a few thousand fauji officers are qualified for these high level government positions?

retired army officers should have follow the same procedure to apply for the job as civilians are. eg in css they hav 2 percent quota no written just inerview and thats against the spirit of competition . am totally against it. if retired officers follow the same rule as ciilians are following then i dnt hae any issue with them
