Military retired officers getting civilians jobs

The retired personnel will be appointed as Monitoring and Evaluation Officers on one-year contracts under the Punjab Education Foundation.

They will receive a monthly salary of Rs60,000, along with other facilities and benefits available under the education department’s rules.

Unfair doesn't belong to this thread. They are retired military personnel, not military officers. Worldwide, retired veterans are given preferences in government jobs so they don't end up unemployed, hungry, and ready to use their expertise for nefarious purposes.
This is more than fair.
Whatever little interaction I have had with these retired Army personnel, they were 99% A-grade Ch's, so I don't envy those poor old teachers reporting to these knuckleheads, but it's more than fair.
