Mirage III is a beaut. I always liked it over its contemporaries MiG-21 and F-4 which looked ungainly.

PAF has done an amazing job keeping these birds going & keeping them relevant. Great ingenuity in the face of limited resources. At one time they bought second hand airframes from Australia and zero metre wings from South Africa and mated them….struggling to upload a pic of this jet which still has the South African cammo on the wings….

IMO Rafale is not a looker. Mirage III and 2000 looked good IMO. After the cold war French design went down the toilet. Dassault was an excellent designer himself.

12 Mirage IIIELs that were delivered from France in 1968 but were then grounded in the late 1970s due to lack of funds.
These jets were then sold to none other than Pakistan - which brought the jets for the PAFs project ROSE
