AL Jeera information is incorrect, Only Indian troops are holding positions on glacier, while Pakistani posts are positioned at almost 1000 meter lower elevations(and need almost 5-15 hours of uphill trek just to come to face to face with Indian Army whos bunkered in and watching from top) on the western flank not on glacier. Both armies are not facing each other on the glacier its all inside Indian deployments, cant be called a standoff on Siachin.

Its not a battle zone, the siachin is a tough territory to hold due to elevation and cold climate throughout the year, but Indian Military has built underground frameworks and helipads for resupply. Not sure why this information is not yet democratized in Pakistan, everytime I see on any news channel or defense related Pakistani node, Pakistanis beleive their army is on Siachin Glacier, which is incorrect.
