Naqvi urges 'all political parties' to settle issue of more provinces, says current 'system' has collapsed

Two flawed assumptions by Engine sb..

First, population alone doesn't determine administrative size.... Terrain, remoteness, and accessibility matter far more.....

You can drive across Gujranwala district in under half an hour.... Driving across AJK, from Taobat in Neelum to Bhimber via Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot, and Kotli takes between 16 to 18 hours... Calling AJK a "small administrative unit" simply because it has 4.5 million people is absurd.... By this logic, one DC should be enough for all of Balochistan since its population is roughly the same as Lahore's.....

Second, this assumes AJK's institutions were ever free to govern..... They never were.....they have always functioned under Islamabad's shadow......... That's precisely the problem people want fixed...... The issue isn't that AJK is too small (or big for that matter) it's that it has never been allowed to govern itself meaningfully..... And this holds true for all other administrative units of Pakistan too .. Size of administrative units won't matter as long as people aren't allowed to govern themselves

What do you mean by "govern itself". They have PM, supreme court, Rs300bn budget for 4m people. Thats double per capita budget then Punjab. So tell me dear what do you mean by govern itself.

You're wasting your breath on this buffoon. On the one had he's claiming AJK is wasting resources and on the other hand he's cheerleading the deaths of those protesting against that very waste.

The guy is a walking contradiction, look at his name. 😂

JAAC/rawalkot is protesting why their poonchi ancestors joined Pakistan. Cursing pashtun tribals and calling Sardar Ibrahim traitor lol

Tbh, I am genuinely disappointed by the number of posts on PDF openly celebrating civilian deaths and demanding the Army crush anyone who refuses to fall in line and accept Asim Munir as the supreme leader with absolute authority..... be it in Azad Kashmir, Balochistan, KP, or anywhere else.

Forget about AJK, Pakistan itself has a PM and a Supreme Court (the so called Federal Constitutional Court).... Yet anyone claiming Pakistanis are genuinely free to govern themselves is either hopelessly naive or shamelessly disingenuous.... Take your pick.

Sure Pakistan isnt as free as western nations but that shouldn't be the standard for Pakistan when all 3rd world countries fail at that. You are lot more free in Pakistan then any other muslim nation. Considering the IQ of population, see the list of JAAC demands. All were accepted except one. And must of these JAAC demands were BS to begin with. hu ha give us discounted imported wheat and impose 0 tax or we riot.

Meanwhile their cousins across the border are being raped and killed on daily basis as India end game is to get rid muslims from IoK.

"Not as free as the West" is a convenient strawman....... Compare Pakistan with other Muslim democracies instead, and we still rank near the bottom on political rights, civil liberties, press freedom, and democracy.....

The problem isn't that we're not Sweden...... it's that, on the Freedom Index, we are lagging behind countries like Indonesia, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Tunisia, Lebanon, and even the Maldives.... And here you are trying to tell us that Pakistanis are a lot more free than any other Muslim nation?? .. Get your facts straight at least....

And people demanding cheaper electricity or lower taxes don't deserve bullets... That's called democratic politics, not rebellion.... A state exists to answer its citizens, not silence them.

And IOK is not comparable, as people over there, unlike in AJK, demand freedom from India, not fundamental rights within India... But given our Army's current policy and trajectory, that too might change soon...

You have more freedom then all these combined.

Freedom House 2026 Rankings

Country: Score

Albania: 69
Indonesia: 56

Bosnia & H.: 52
Bangladesh: 44

Freedom House assesses AJK separately and rates Pakistani Kashmir as "Not Free" (30/100)...

The Economist Democracy Index has classified Pakistan as an "authoritarian regime" in recent editions...

Very proud?

It's fair to assume you are satisfied with present set up.....name and shame that rascal who is running sindh behind the curtain...btw , you really believe zardari and his dancing and thundering billo Rani are establishment puppets.

PM and Supreme Court are doormats even in Islamabad. What do you expect the poor puppets in Kashmir to be able to do ?

All political dynasties are requested to highlight their Sufi ancestry. Only by declaring the heads of their families as living Sufi saints, they can escape the dangers of the population.

Every one of the legacy politician is a Sufi proven by noble and proud ancestry they carry. They should put a decree that these Sufi figures are infallible beings.

there is no grass root level local government structure thats is the main reason of governance issue
