WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem today announced U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) agents arrested Jaan Shah Safi, an Afghan national who entered the United States under Biden’s “Operation Allies Welcome,” who provided support to the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria-Khorasan (ISIS-K). He also provided weapons to his father who is a commander of a militia group in Afghanistan. This terrorist was arrested in Waynesboro, Virginia.

Take for what it's worth; narrative being discussed on several different talk radio shows suggest the shooter was being threatened by the Taliban. Meaning, they were threatening harm to his family still in Afghanistan if he didn't do this.

Is it possible? Anything is possible. I know first hand it's possible. Two of my coworkers who I worked with briefly in Iraq were killed by their driver in Kabul. The driver then killed himself. The investigation revealed the Taliban got to him.

The other scary part? The jobs they were doing after transfer to Kabul, District Manager and Operations Manager respectively; I was asked prior to leaving Bahrain if I was interested in either.

I don't think Afghanistan should even be unified country under its current geography: It should be split up along ethnic lines and/or different parts merged into neighboring states.

Taliban are exceptionally stupid, so I wouldn't put it past them at all to facilitate such things while under the influence of some narcotic substance.
 
If, and it is a big if, there is any truth to this, then no doubt in my mind there is a lot of BTUs being expended to vet the remainder of the Afghans in this country. If the Taliban got to one, then it stands to reason they can get to others.
