For Pakistanis it’s perfect platform. And for NATO it’s a good selling point it’ can land in smaller airfields than the American 737 , it has around half the cost of the E7 and can operate 10000 ft higher I read.. there is plenty reason to just buy twice as many of these of E7s . It’s a very agile solution for NATO.

Yeah, I am also guessing they must have found it very hard data linking their Israeli Phalcons to their French and Russian assets, that and they chose the worst platform (IL-76) to use as AEW

Interesting to find out if PAF has got the "ER" update on the radars we have in our Erieyes. If so the only difference between our planes and the GlobalEye would be the Searchwater Maritime radar and the Sea Sultans will have that anyway.

I am guessing in the new birds we ordered and the rebuild ones we obtained "ER"?

Also - i do wish that PAF does not give up with the Erieye in the future and maybe one days gets(or upgrades its variants) to the new GlobalEye standard one day.

I would rather see Pakistan try to partner up with Turkey in develop a next gen AEW&C platform for both air forces. The Turks would also be more than happy to help us develop a next gen data link system.

Yeah, guess issue now is Chinese are offering everything as a ready made package which has its obvious benefits (synced up AEW, 5th Gen jets, SAMs etc)

A considerable amount of orders has been placed to the Turkish MIC for the next gen NATO gadgets. Looks lie NATO is reviving itself after becoming "brain dead"! It's opening up its purses big time. It's getting ready for the 21st century challenges under a "multi-polar" scenario. And, it's a great news for Pak too since she has entwined her MIC with the that in Turkey. As for the Israili staffs, I am pretty sure they can spare only their garbage staffs for the "gentiles", otherwise considered as "beasts of burden (aka donkey, mule etc.)" by the Jewish folks.....

I posted a very long email to Quwa. Hopefully they will respond just as well as they responded to my previous questions in the recent podcast. I would Pakistan to avoid the Chinese stack as much as possible.

Working more with Turkieye makes more sense for Pakistan given the level of possible technology transfer that is possible. It will be interesting to see in years to come, what if anything Turkieye does in light of Sea Sultan. Will Turkieye purchase the Sea Sultan, or will it want to develop its own solution from scratch, that will tell which way the relationship with Pakistan go in the long run, ie is Turkieye looking to become the next "China" for Pakistan, or it is prepared to give and take as platform partners.

The USAF is putting their AEW&C in space and don't want to spend money on E-7s but just like the F-15EX it is being forced on them. USAF wants to rent E-2D's until their spacebase surveillance has global coverage.
