Netanyahu authorises support for Argentina’s claim over Falklands

What could Argentina do in the period of 2015 to 2030? It's an economy that defaulted 5 times and can never build true military to challenge UK..... it can only take Falklands if and if orange man militarily supports them on this matter....
It could be done, provided that Argentina maintained a minimum level of operational capability for its navy and air force.

if its outside artillery range, then argentina loses all advantages as UK got the ships, jets, refuelers and allies to help them

Exactly. Type 45 will cover off the entire Islands and much of Argy mainland. Last time Harriers had to get within visual of Skyhawks and Mirages. This time the Argie F-16s and Mirages (unsure if the US released the AMRAAM) will face AESA and Meteor equipped F-35s and Typhoons

in 1982 the British military presence was half an RM platoon.

Now it is a reinforced infantry company, 4 Typhoons and a dedicated A400 and A330 MRTT. Add to that, the UK will get advance warning of any invasion and has specfically designed Mount Pleasant Base to handle mass aircraft and infantry reinforcement, any Argy invasion could well face an Infantry brigade and 2 Sqds of high end fighters based on the island in addition the Task Force I described
The Falklands defender is similar to what we called "Air-Ground Taskforce" in the US, it basically a mobile force design to delay and out maneuver their enemy, but not to confront straight on or for a "set piece battle" .

If such a war really does happen, the only advantage the Argentinian has is the surprise and the first strike, and once the Brits recover from that, it would be game over.

Argentina used to be seen as a rich country but now its gdp per capita is similar to China. Argentina stands no chance against a UNSC power so it better just keep quiet and try and fix its economy.

Argentina can definitely take the Falklands if they attack. The Falklands and the UK mainland is 8000 miles apart; it's naive to think the 1600 odd defender (with FIDF) can cause any problem. They are going to lose an arm and a leg taking the island, and then will not have enough troops to defend against a counterattack from the UK. When they come with a shipload of reinforcement like they did back in 82.

The main issue with Argentina is that they don't have a proper Navy and their Air Force is weak; even the RN is not what they used to be in 82. They are going to get isolated if they had taken the Falklands; their Navy would either have to fight the Royal Navy and get sunk at the bottom of the ocean, or they are going to do hit-and-run, which means limited supplies onshore.

What the Brits did with the Falklands now is what we did to Midway back in WW2: there are no way we can defeat an oncoming Japanese attack; we can take away their supporting element by taking out their Navy, then their troop; even if they can make it ashore will be doing nothing.

Those 4 Typhoons and Sky Sabre will demolish the Argentine airforce even with 24 F-16A MLUs.

I would not be surprised if UK increased Typhoons to 8 and put in another battery of Sky Sabre once all 24 F-16s are in place with tanker support.

No way Argentina is capturing the Falklands again.

Argentina such a gigantic country till date can't take falkland island back from small England who controls it 8000 kms away from British mainland.....

This shows the power projection capability of Britain....

Argentina wants the islands back but could never prepare itself militarily to snatch it back from Britain..... if today also Argentina attacks then once again they will be given a bloody nose by British army and England will inflict heavy damage on Argentina mainland.... no doubt about it....
They need air force, which they don t have it , all they have Denmark retired NATO stripped 24 F16. To get Falkland, they need Airforce and rapid navel fleet. But they are not allowed to purchase equipment without US-IMF-UK approval.

Anyone with superior numbers and a distant advantage can overwhelm any defences; how much you are paying for that is the only question here.

It will take anywhere from 8 hours to 48 hours to reinforce any position in the Falklands; it depends on how the Brits use Ascension Island, but within that 8-hour flight time, if Argentina wants to, they can breach the Falklands defence. While it's doable, it's unrealistic to hold out a full-on invasion with just the troops on the ground before relief arrives.

How is an invasion going to work if your aircraft get shot down and ships hit?

I am sure that company of 100-120 will also be strengthened to a full battalion if the threat assesment requires it.

The UK will simply have a garrison(aircraft/sams/troops there that can deter whatever surprise attack Argentica can muster.

So British Claims over an Island thousands of Miles away from their country is being justified by those who are against forced occupation of Palestine !
Nobody lived there before the British arrived and settled. This is quite different from your phatherland, where Canaanites lived and thrived prior to the arrival of your Hebrew baaps.

That said, the British would hardly mind if a few thousand volunteers from the Lionel Messi Indian fan club division offered to defend Buenos Aires during such a conflict.

Very stupid move by Israel. Say what you will, but US is part of the Anglosphere, and how the UK perceives Israel does have some impact on how the rest of the Anglosphere perceives Israel,
