Then, as the conflict escalated, the US shifted from diplomacy to strong material, intelligence, and logistical support for the British. The Americans even went as far as getting a Harrier carrier ready, manned by contractors, in the event the British needed one.

So do not be too impressed by what the West does at times. It's more so that they have logistical lines to carry out the conflict that allow them to have the upper hand.

Yes French helped British on excosets missiles and USA also helped a lot but still that doesn't take away credit from Britain a small island nation fighting 8000 kms away in southern polar against a country sized almost like India.... just look at the score British had against Mirages with their harriers.... today's Argentina on international stage is even weaker than 1982....
