New-Chill Bangladesh Thread

That is why the NCP was created to appeal to a broader audience and support base than the Jamaat and both would be working in tandem but that didn't work either as the NCP leaders became greedy and corrupt and soon lost support of the people ...

After the July revolution you may remember Jamaatis and their surrogates were massive on social media and wanted to reshape Bangladesh (a country they don't believe in and wanted to destroy before it could be born) and:

1. Speaking of changing the national anthem.
2. Speaking of changing the flag

Now, that might seem far fetched but in those heady days immediately after July 2024 and the state of flux the country was in and the huge influence of the (American-backed) Jamaat it didn't seem totally impossible.

However since then things have reverted to their normal default median state which is Bangladesh is what it has always been with our national symbols, e.g. flag, anthem intact.

Your thoughts on this please? Particularly the idea of changing the flag and anthem.

It was not just after the August 2024 change but the Jamaat campaign continued with immense force right up to the 2026 elections but they were over confident, arrogant and abusive and thought they were destined for power and didn't need anyone outside their immediate circle and allied with the NCP which shared many of the Jamaat's objectives. It was essentially for this reason they failed and their attitude during the Hasina regime was suspect and doubtful. Due to this overbearing attitude they could not increase their support base. While the Jamaat proposed changing the national anthem and flag neither of which I am opposed to if for the right reasons and with an acceptable alternative. On none of these points could the Jamaat convince the nation as they themselves were not credible and relied heavily on social media activists Pinaki, Elias, Milton, Kanak, Pricila, Mustafiz and many others but it became clear massive followers on social media does not translate into real influence and power as nearly all had doubtful histories and lacked credibility ...

While you yourself have been of great service to Bangladesh in highlighting the unacceptable involvement of India in our affairs, another extreme is to have gratuitous hatred of India at any cost even to the detriment of our own country.

Basically Jamaatis would like us to be a little "east Pakistan" and to have either a hot war (actual military conflict) or a cold war where we are sworn enemies and anyone who doesn't want a hostile relationship between the two states would be labelled as a "RAW agent", "Hindutva bootlicker" etc, simply for saying Bangladesh and India should strive to have meaningful relations. Jamaatis will not be allowed to sabotage our relationship with India as it's important. We cannot be slaves of India nor can we be rabid enemies, these are two extremes. The happy medium is to be neighbours who do not compromise our national interests and have a relationship of mutual respect and co-operation. Something Jamaatis are seeking to sabotage.

Thank you for the recognition which the Jamaatis do not extend to me. They pretend to not even know me and copy my ideas wholesale without acknowledgement. What is worrying is that behind the Jamaat there is a foreign agenda which will effectively destabilize the region with no benefit to Bangladesh but quite the opposite and the Jamaatis seem quite happy to follow through to serve these foreign interests. I think most Bangladeshis understand this and therefore do not support the Jamaat.

Agreed. Totally spot on.

Please refrain from using racial slurs. Kanglu is an offensive term often used by Hindutva extremists for example against Bangladeshis.

Also it harms the image of Jamaat e Islami when neutral people online see Jamaati-supporters like you insulting Bangladeshi Muslims as 'Kanglus' and also attacking Bangladeshi non-Muslims and Hindus as you did earlier.

You are damaging the image of your party, Jamaat e "Islami".

They enjoy very little support in Bangladesh and their share of electoral votes in 2026 is an aberration due to the absence of any other large centrist party for people to vote for as the Awami League banned.

Already 4 months after the elections the BNP have turned on Jamaat (their long term coalition partner of many decades) and Jamaatis are complaining.

This was last week:

Also 2 weeks ago:

We are now just 4 months into a 5-year BNP period of rule and the BNP are basically at war with Jamaat and the BNP have taken control of Jamaat's "Islami bank" with Jamaatis whining and complaining.

So imagine what the way much stronger BNP are going to do to Jamaat in the next 4.5 years. The vast majority of Bangladeshis e.g. even perhaps 90% will of course support the BNP against Jamaat.

Why didn’t you answer the main point of the question? And isn’t Hindutva in charge of your best friend India?

You are a well-known anti-Bangladeshi liar and Jamaati who insults people by calling them 'Kaafirs' and 'Kanglus'. You Jamaatis were defeated in 1971 and are being defeated now. You are a liar who is trying to falsely portray me as pro-India when you know full well that I am anti-Modi. I am putting you on block, do not quote me again and clean your mouth, Jamaati.
