I certainly don't see how a same caliber US grad is better or worse positioned vs. an "immigrant" grad when it comes to job interviews. If anything, immigrants are in disadvantageous position.

The quality of new grads is a broad spectrum and such policies only shift the curve to the left (given immigrants are in general of higher caliber vs. underlying population due to selection bias).

So if you're talented enough, you will get a job in this market. Though I do believe that job market has been hard for new grads in last 2-3 years

They are - but they don't get the same buck. Its just capitalism my friend, capital (human or financial) will flow where its worth more... you can have artificial barriers which can work in interim but in long-term its really hard to be protectionist and make good/optimal progress. In any case, let the bill/proclamation get signed, take hold and start impacting students - then we can discuss more.

The US has no obligation to hire foreigners...I don't remember that in the Constitution or Bill of Rights.

University are just places of education...it isn't an immigration clearinghouse.

america created this problem on their own when they allowed too many/so many foreign students into their country and then those people never left.
Shit policies = shit results. Now its looking like a foreign takeover, whether its by latinos, blacks or indians.

A country should have ruthless border management policies, which means ALL foreigners must leave (you make them leave with harsh policies). No Exceptions.

Sounds harsh but thats what some countries around the world do. Emulate them and throw the foreigners out once their study is done. Force Put them on flights.

100%, my point is not about whats in the constitution, its about flow of capital - constitution is what - 300 years old or so, flow of capital has been true since a few thousand...
