Nyingchi, South Tibet, a small frontier city can be seen on the mountains from Indian side, occupied by British invaders 100 years ago

Driving in the small border town Nyingchi in South Tibet facing India, clean ,quite and beautiful.

If Qing dynasty didn't recover Nyingchi from the British colonialists 100 years ago, today's Nyingchi could be a dirty backward trash dump in India.

There was a thread on PDF about Chinese Tier 2-3 cities. I really used to enjoy that thread.

Some Chinese members here should try to revive a similar thread here

2-3 cities look no much different from 1 tier cities, streets and building are exactly the same, while relatively underdeveloped western border 7-8 tier "cities" have more uniqueness and distinct charateristics.

Tibet, as you imagine, is likely barren, frigid, oxygen-deprived, scarce in resources, shrouded in snowstorms, and sparsely populated, this is the most common impression of Tibet.

However, in the eastern part of Tibet, Nyingchi breaks this stereotype. It is rich, humid, densely forested, abundant in oxygen, vibrant in agriculture, and crisscrossed by rivers.

Nyingchi lies in the eastern section of the Himalayas, Here you can find towering snow-capped mountains soar above 7000 meters, alongside dense forests, pristine glaciers, roaring rivers, tranquil villages, blue lakes, lush grasslands, robust livestock, and expansive farmlands.

The eastern part of Tibet is the most fertile region in Tibet.Through several videos, I will take you from Lhasa eastward, crossing towering mountains, to the fertile Nyingchi at an altitude of around 2800 meters, leading you into the most complete and abundant natural ecosystem on Earth—the vibrant land at the foot of the Himalayas, Nyingchi in eastern Tibet.

If you are interested in visiting Tibet, I do recommend you travel to Nyingchi, or fly from Mainland China to Nyingchi, landing in the lowest altitude part of Tibet, then travel from Nyingchi to Lhasa, you can avoid suffering from high altitude sickness. You can contact me at [email protected] , I will help you to arrange your tour to Tibet.

Nyingchi, Namchabarwa mountain peak

Namcha Barwa or Namchabarwa (Tibetan: གནམས་ལྕགས་འབར་བ།, Wylie: Gnams lcags 'bar ba, ZYPY: Namjagbarwa; Chinese: 南迦巴瓦峰, Pinyin: Nánjiābāwǎ Fēng) is a mountain peak lying in Tibet in the region of Pemako. The traditional definition of the Himalaya extending from the Indus River to the Brahmaputra would make it the eastern anchor of the entire mountain chain, and it is the highest peak of its own section as well as Earth's easternmost peak over 7,600 metres (24,900 ft).

It lies in the Nyingchi Prefecture of Tibet. It is the highest peak in the 180 km long Namcha Barwa Himal range (also called the Namjagbarwa syntaxis or Namjagbarwa Group Complex), which is considered the easternmost syntaxis/section of the Himalaya in southeastern Tibet and northeastern India where the Himalaya are said to end, although high ranges actually continue another 300 km to the east.
