Ofcourse this is not a military related stuff, and I really don't know in which forum I need to create this topic, but I am desperate to know when can we expect Chinese version of Three body problem season 2 (The dark forest). I loved Chinese show of three body problem tv show adaption which was almost identical to the novel whilst Netflix show was much better with the visuals but was largely deviated from the novel itself. I have recently completed reading the dark forest novel so hoping to see TV series soon. On internet there is very less information on the Chinese series so anyone from China can shed more light on it that whether we can expect season 2 later this year ?

The Chinese adaptation of *The Three-Body Problem: The Dark Forest* is officially set to begin filming in July 2025, directed by Yang Lei and starring Yu Hewei, among others. The series will consist of 26 episodes, with a production cycle of approximately 20 months; it is scheduled to premiere in mainland China in 2028.

This constitutes all the information currently known!

Well I haven't seen the first season yet. It has been on my wishlist for a while though.

I'm more interested in continuation of burn the witch donghua adaptation.

Release date is 2028 :O when filming was started in mid of 2025. That's too late for me :( by that time netflix will be done with three seaons

Watch Chinese one. Its much more in detail and ditto adaption of the novel if you have read it. Netflix season 1 has just 8 episodes but has better animation/visuals than chinese TV show.

The saga surrounding the battle for the film and television rights to the *Three-Body Problem* IP is even more dramatic than the story of *Three-Body Problem* itself. What is even more remarkable is that this battle for rights continues, to this day, to impact the production progress of the *Three-Body Problem* TV series in the real world.
Consequently, its progress is not determined by the production team.

In September 2020, Netflix acquired the rights to adapt *The Three-Body Problem* into an English-language series. Consequently, its production progress remains completely unaffected.
