The Jehangir Kothari Pavilion and Lady Lloyd Pier, situated in Clifton, Karachi, marked their centenary on March 21, 2021. These significant landmarks were generously funded by a Rs. 3 Lakhs donation from Jehangir H Kothari, a Parsi businessman and philanthropist.
The elevated Gizri sandstone public walkway, known as Lady Lloyd Pier, was inaugurated on March 21, 1921. The foundation stone was laid by then Governor of Bombay Sir George Lloyd in 1919, and the pavilion structure was officially opened by Lady Lloyd on January 5, 1920.
