Old Man's Corners

Backpacking 🎒 became one of my favourite pastimes. With so many national and state parks which were a day's drive away from the Bay Area. Sequoia national park was my favourite along with Mt. Shasta state park.
Indeed. Lots of nice areas. And, since we're talking about San Francisco:

A little about me:

Born and raised in PA. Literally on the south shore of Lake Erie. So I know snow. If I wasn't on the lake or along a stream fishing, I would be hunting. That and being in farm country, spent a lot of time working on the various farms.

At the age of 12, had gone to AZ to see my grandmother. She lived in Tucson at the time. That was the first trip to the desert.

Senior year of HS, applied to two engineering schools. The home school at Penn State as well as the University of Arizona. Was accepted to both. Due to the snows that year, we graduated a month late. That played a big factor on my decision where to attend school that fall. Initial training is in engineering.

It was later that I went back, ironically, to Arizona State and earned a second BS with this one being in Purchasing and Logistics Management. The program is now known as Supply Chain Management.

It was a couple years after that while working at Motorola that I earned my first Masters and later, while at DHL, my second Masters.

Do I consider myself to be smart or better than others? No. Not in the least. I liked the challenge as well as going to school while balancing a career and a family. Further, the programs aligned perfectly with my career objectives at DHL. Have been fortunate to work on a number of projects not just in the whole of the Americas region, but globally as well.

Continuing the good old days as a kid I remembered my first adult action/drama show on a Friday night as mom and pops (i think older sis too) were sitting and me running around the house when this song caught my attention.

For a long time as a kid I thought Tubs was the one that sang this song.

Oh yes indeed

I'm Gen X so I can relate as an 80's kid. Born and raised San Diego in a suburb neighborhood that resembled the neighborhood of the movie E.T and Poltergeist. Summers were the best wake up early morning eat cereal and go out of the house and play/ride bikes with friends, and none of our moms were helicopter moms, we'd be gone all day only coming back for drinks and dinner. The best years for me/"good ol' days" were 1980-1985. Highschool during the 90's were fun but weren't as innocent and care free as the 80's.

Now my life has pretty much become like this
