Old Man's Corners

Oh, ABBA and Beegees songs from the 70s make even the pillared legs of Gen Z to move! I see them doing that when I request DJs to play old disco songs. Gen Z probably can tell that modern 'music' sucks! It seems most shows, movies, songs starting early 2010s suck!
Also, several songs shared by you guys above... I can't relate to them; not even with the Rolling Stones. In my house parties, some 60-65 range friends play 70s rock; I can't relate to them and they wonder why not because I am myself pushing 60.

Now, "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly" or "The Outlaw Josey Wales"? Yeah, I've watched each maybe 50 times. Same with "The Wild Geese". That movie was my inspiration to add a FAL to the collection.

Yet to watch 'The Good, the bad, the ugly' but I know it is a very well known movie. Those others, I have only heard of 'The Wild Geese'.
I have this strange idea which my oldie friends idiotic: I often tell them movies made before 1970 look too simplistic. There are a few good ones, for sure: 'Psycho', 'Planet of the Apes' but most others... nah, I totally skip them. Heck, even Psycho looks simplistic and I chuckled once an old guy I met on a long Amtrak trip told me he was afraid of going into shower after watching that movie. Haha!! But Psycho 1960 was still better then Psycho of the 90s; even a 90s guy like me admits that.

The first time I saw Rocky Horror I was kind of dumb-founded. Like "people actually watch this?". Then I realized it was a cult classic and it helped if you had maybe a couple beers under your belt. I think I've watched it may 5 or 6 times most recently on TV.

I remember a theatre in the mission district of SF only showed such movies to packed houses. Big following for such cult movies

The songs and the movies you guys have been posting above... I can't relate to most of them even though I am not far behind in age. And it is just not you guys: There is a 65 year old local friend who tells me who is dead today and I cannot relate with them dead ones. A few minutes ago, he sent me this 'Just found out Chuck Mangione passed away. Was announced on Colbert.' text message and I told him I had only heard first about the guy from the news.

I guess I am an 'upstart' on entertainment. But with a wife being TEN YEARS younger than me, it works out. Haha!

I have You Tube Premium. Watch whatever I want without the ads. And I watch a lot of documentaries and I have many songs to enjoy. Wife and I have a range from a few ABBA/Beegees from the 70s through early 2010s including even Taylor Swift, and luckily we share our taste in music, otherwise, you know, living in a small house and different music taste not that good. But she, being a lot younger than me, likes the 80s more than I like the 80s but 80s good enough for me too; we both love the 90s and the 2000s.

Maybe I will give it another try after 30+ years!! Maybe!!
Rarely are good musicals. I like 'Caberet' (Liza Minnelli), 'My Fair Lady', 'Phantom of the Opera' (2004?) and want to watch, name forgetting, musical with Nicole Kidman [Edit: Moulan Rogue].
