Definitely a powerful PTSD movie. The only rambo worth watching
I meant to come back to this, didn't I? Apologies for the tardiness. Can you elaborate for the less knowledgeable? What turmoil in 60s? Which racial tensions?
In the 70s there was a "trend" of pakistani students going to the USA. The talk of the town was "did you get your l-20"?. This document allowed you to apply for a F-1 non-immigrant student visa for 3-5 years and the Americans were dishing them out left right and center (they regretted that much later) because amongst the genuine students there were many looking for immigration to the USA for jobs not studies and the F-1 was perfect excuse for them. Anyways for me it was a spur of the moment sort of thing and I applied to many schools and got the l-20. I almost went to Oklahoma SU but decided on California and De Anza college. This college was located in the hills south of San Francisco and I liked the overall atmosphere.Fatman, what influenced your decision to attend university in the US and how long did you stay following graduation?

Great TV time and with the whole familyTV shows of the 60s:
- Green Acres
- Petticoat Junction - who wasn't in love with Betty Jo, Billie Jo, and Bobbie Jo?
- Gunsmoke
- The Rifleman
- The Andy Griffith Show
- Rat Patrol
- Combat!
- Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea
- The Avengers (loved Emma Peel)
- Get Smart (Agent 99 was another)
- Hee Haw -- barely qualifies; first aired 1969. Barbi Benton jumped the shark when she did Playboy.
