Old Man's Corners

Another great day for working outside today. By 1030 or so the sweatshirt was off. Moved more stuff from the garage to the shed and there is still quite a bit of room in there.

Garage now emptied out to the point was able to reorganize a bit and too some much needed to time to load up some more 5.56mm ammo for 200/300 yard stages. Am literally down to just enough of the previous lot that I can shoot one more match. That lot was loaded 13 Feb 2020!
😯

Also took some time to bob the maple tree in the front yard. Tomorrow will do the two on the south side of the house. They both need it too.

After that, the two big manzanita in the backyard get trimmed back.

This is a good time to be doing all of that before everything starts to bloom. That should be in about 3-4 weeks.

LOL.......no, I don't. I'm a member of Rio Salado Sportsman's Club in Mesa. Have been for quite a few years. Now that I'm 120 miles away, to go down there would make for a long day.

Phoenix Rod & Gun Club runs regular matches at South Mountain and Desert Sharpshooters runs matches at Ben Avery in the north valley. It takes me right at 70 minutes to arrive at Avery and an hour and a half to South Mountain. So I compete a lot at those two ranges.

Up here, when the fire restrictions aren't in effect, we've a lot of wide open prairie and National Forest land.

Factoid: all of the shooting events for the 1984 Summer Olympics were held at Ben Avery. I wonder if that will be the same for the 2028 Games.

50°F, perfect for walking cats.

We paused for a few to watch traffic on Hwy 60.
