But, what a goat rope to watch it. Scripps Communications owns a number of ABC affiliates including the stations in Phoenix and Tucson. And, ironically, their agreement with DirecTV to carry the broadcasts for the local customers has expired. Expletives fly at this point.
I need to do some repositioning of the HD antenna to get the OTA broadcast out of Phoenix. So installed FUBO app. It's a pay service. More expletives.
Ok, install the ABC15 app. Of course, no live broadcasts. WTAF???
So, reading the DirecTV message on the TV, install the ESPN app because of course ESPN is NOT showing the game on the ESPN channels because it is being broadcast on the sister ABC stations. MORE expletives.
BUT!!!!! There's more. They are broadcasting the game live on the ESPN app. Ok, what the hell. Let's see what happens.
Install app, answer / skip some crap. Arrive at login screen. Oh wouldn't you know it? One of the options is to log in via your cable or satellite provider. I choose that option, tell it DirecTV, and viola! The game is on.
Life is good again.
