My father installed the largest cowbell anyone has ever seen on a post by the back porch.

When my mother rang it, neighbors from a half mile or better, from all directions will hear it.

I was born nearly deaf, never heard it.

But damn near every house from where I was at when it rang, to on my way home, mothers will be outside pointing me towards home.

For me it was just my name I was named after my dad so junior was what they all called me so if my mom or dad ever called me by my name I was in trouble.

I have a backup camera in my F150. Hardly ever use it.

One a trip to LAX, I drove instead of flying and renting a car. One of my coworkers out of Florida was riding with me. We had to do something for the project. Anyways, we get back and because we need to unload the bed, I back in. Use just my side mirrors. Coworker looks at me and asks "why didn't you use the backup camera?"

My response to her: "backup cameras are for those who never learned how to use their mirrors."
