Maybe you should pay more attention to history and the mentality of GHQ ? The Taliban is their baby and a war in Afghanistan a huge source of income going back 50 years. An additional income stream is the massive border smuggling business. GHQ is not going to change any of this no matter how many ordinary Pakistani citizens die, as witnessed in last 25 years alone.

Afghanistan is a problem. Today India might be paying the rulers, yesterday Americans were paying the rulers, before them the Soviets were paying the rulers, and who knows who would pay the next rulers.

The 'nation' of Afghanistan is basically a bunch of extremely backward, illiterate tribes, especially the Pashtun ones, in a God-forsaken resource starved land. But pity the non-Pashtuns to be condemned to live with these Pashtun tribals of Afghanistan (and there are some similar Pashtun tribals in Pakistan, too).

This Pakistani Pashtun analyst is one of my top choices for info on Afghanistan, along with Firdous Iftikhar. Doesn't look good for Afghanistan given the choices the current ruling Pashtun classes in Afghanistan are making.
