Perhaps because the aim is not to destory the base completely but surgically eliminate hangers where TTA weapons and equipment is stored. We can understand, they don't have hardware to fill this huge base. Plus, going for complete destruction of the airbase would require thousands of tons of munitions. Complete waste.

what harm has ordinary poor hardworking afghani caused us?

imagine your family member having serious heart condition and you cant take that patient to nearest available hospital near you, which happens to be across the border.

so, I dont think, holding any ordinary Afgh. responsible for everything, would solve our problems.

likewise, keeping them starving under normal times, would benefit us, but this is not helpful in Ramadan.

kuffar we're always shown mercy on some basic conditions.. an agreement (e.g. sulah hudaibiya, agreement to vacate a fort without fighting/killing etc), accept their defeat plus that they will follow the rules set forth, or they accept Islam i.e. the right path.
Afghans will not adhere to any of such deeds. They are a snake tht u nurse back to health for it to strangulate you the moment it can grip u in its coil

77km2 base and only 3-4 had any value -> that 'feels' like a stretch -> but I genuinely dont know better. Under US era Balgram had fuel ammo, vehicles and 2 runways -> catering them should have been nice; unlike indians TTA would have alot of pain renewing the runways -> plus doesnt lets TTA flee the country on any jets -> IMO

The taliban do not have the capability or even the resources to fill all the buildings, or even half.

Cratwring runways doesnt make sense, as Afghanistan does not have an air force. Small drones like the ones Afghanistan operates can launch from normal roads.
