"Defeated" is a strong word. The US got bored and left, they had plenty of resources to occupy Afghanistan for another 100 years, and not make a dent. US traffic was injuring and killing more soldiers than the taliban was.

On top of that, the US played nice for the most part and let the Afghans govern themselves. If they wanted, they could have annexed Afghanistan and there is nothing the taliban could do about it.

Let's not forget that fools sitting in Afghanistan only survived because they got help. This time they'll receive nothing.

Any idiot that thinks the taliban are these legendary figures who can beat anyone are beyond foolish.

That's what guerrilla warfare is, wearing down your enemy, increasing the costs until your enemy in this case the yanks, break and run for it

That's what happened, but it could only happy with Pakistan supporting them. Not on their own

What we don't understand is, why are Afghans still creating fassad when for their own people they need peace and security

The taliban insurgency for the most part did little to no damage to US forces. It was other Afghans it effected. In a year, the US suffered anywhere between 1 to 20 casualties.

Without Pakistani support, the taliban insurgency would have collapsed within a year.

The reason why the taliban are barking now is because that's their nature. They believe themselves to be conquerors, and think they are the best army in the world.

They forget that they've only ever fought their own people and far off foreign nations. Pakistan is a completely different beast. If the fools decide to march to the border, Pakistan can end the taliban within a month at most.

Pakistan isn't foolish enough to invade and let the taliban launch an insurgency, a severe and swift air campaign, and subsequent balkanization would end the threat of Afghanistan permanently.

Time for Munir to show a backbone, any aggression must be met strongly, but proportionately. Pakistan is not the zionists who kill for fun.

I wonder is it possible to create a buffer area but with mountainous terrain probably not possible.

‘Afghanistan responsible for safeguarding its people, territory and sovereignty’

KABUL (Ariana News): The Presidential Palace (Arg) issued a statement on Saturday highlighting the Islamic Emirate’s firm stance on Afghanistan’s right to self-defense.

The Political Commission, led by the Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, emphasized that, as an independent nation, Afghanistan is responsible for safeguarding its people, territory, and sovereignty.

The statement further underlined the IEA’s commitment to regional stability and peace, stressing that actions that escalate tensions or threaten stability must be actively prevented.

In addition, the meeting covered a range of topics, including Afghanistan’s relations with neighboring countries, efforts to expand diplomatic and economic cooperation with select nations, and recent developments both within Afghanistan and in the broader region. Decisive resolutions were adopted in accordance with the outlined priorities.

Twitter was making it sound like Pakistan and Afghanistan are at war. I didn't take it seriously because pages seemed suspicious, but apparently something is going on.

Can anyone explain? Is there actually a war/invasion from either side?

Nothing much

Afghanistan allows the TTP which is a terrorist organisation space in its border regions to train and prepare. The TTP then keep attacking Pakistan or carrying out terrorist attacks

Pakistan has repeatedly helped Afghanistan, got rid of USSR, USA, NATO,.India
Took in millions of Afghan refugees to help them

Yet they still allow a terrorist organization attacking Pakistan space because they share the same ethnicity

Pakistan is getting annoyed, repeatedly having the same conversation with Afghanistan and hit TTP terrorists bases after they yet again committed a terrorist attack

Pakistan views this situation as, we no longer have any reason for hostility and we can resolve things amicably between the countries

But afghans are a thick headed people

It can’t be solved permanently, but has to be perpetually managed like a chronic condition.

We need to get our economic growing and hope Afghanistan stays isolated as much as possible so they see the error of their ways and try to make amends to get in on the economic opportunities. Should some Afghans want to work with Pakistan but not others, it’s not like Pakistan has recognized the Talibs right to rule over all Afghans. Pakistan can deal with each border tribe and manage them that way.

Empowering the cooperating tribes over the “government” in Kabul/Kandahar, such that these tribes would be motivated to keep the Talibs in check to keep their business going.

Can anyone confirm whether this is new footage of an Afghan helicopter crash or an old one?
