We need to do better to bolster internal security. Airstrikes in Afghanistan won't change a thing in the long term. They'll take out a terrorist node or two but not collapse the terrorism superstructure. There's a whole pipeline delivering children into terrorism in Afghanistan and airstrikes will do little to change that.
The war we should fight first is closer, much closer.
Ex-FATA is riddled with the TTP. Zaafran Wazir's kidnapping should be an eye- opener. That's the war we need to fight and fight better. Border security, surveillance, development, regulation of madrassas, de-radicalization, improved local governance, and confidence building measures in Pakistan's terrorist hotspots.
