the reality is an F-16 can carry 3-4x what the JF-17 can in A2G weapons. Plus a tgp. The cost per bomb becomes to not matter as much when you look at Cost per strike package to ge the same level of ord on the ground

Pakistan is still a designated ally in WoT. Agreements within the framework allows for such procurement. It was one of the reasons why India made such a big deal when Pakistan used F16 against India. But if you do find information contrary to this, do correct me.
First of all, thank you But i wish I had that much information. I am just guessing that USA has now stopped supplying these kits ?? MAybe

That is a valid point, that makes sense. Alas, I always end up trying to save money… I wish we Pakistanis weren’t so poor.

Good to know.
And also the recently upgraded F-16s-- a good 70+ of them-- are now potent fighters against India as front or second tier fights, which they were not for the May 2025 conflict with India. The Upgrade request was denied by the Americans since 2021 until just now.

I hate this old fart. But the last line is significant. We are not Americans from thousands of miles away, we share bloodlines with Afghans. Whatever traits they claim to have, we have the same.

Going back in the history, the mongols could not be brought down by any world power, hut by their own bloodlines, the golden hoards. They had the same war tactics, same persistence, resilience and struck the mongols in their own way.

Afghans too should stop comparing Pakistan with USA , USSR British, or whoever else they fought with in the past.

Afghanis are stupid not to have worked this one out. The two superpowers USA and USSR were not local and used to the environment and terrain. We Pakistanis being a neighbour would've have years to plan out a potential attack on KABUL . Pakistani Military are also self aware of tactics they'd use etc

not necessarily money, if one aircraft can do the job, why send 4, extra risk, extra wear, extra planning and effort. Keep it simple, biggest rule of aviation!
