From about 2002, we Americans tried to civilize these primitive pre-Adamites and build a society that respects individual rights and democracy and the rule of law and scientific inquiry and the notion of equal rights for all.

But we were thwarted at every step of the way by Pakistanis who played a double game, taking our money and supporting the very anti thesis of what we were trying to build there. Supporting the Taliban, giving them training and sanctuary, hosting their leadership (whether Al quaeda or Talibs), providing them a launchpad to attack Afghan territory, and so on. All in a misguided idea of muslim unity.

Now Pakistanis have gotten their wish - the Taliban is in power. And Pakistanis are finding out to their detriment that they should not have supported those barbarians.
On the old forum, many Pakistanis such as @hussain0216 were openly cheering for the fall of Afghanistan to the Talibturds in 2021, and boasting about having bested the USA. They should have been careful what they wished for.

We Americans could always go back to good old America - and we did. But Pakistanis are stuck with their Frankenstein's monster in perpetuity.
It got nothing to do with islamic unity , it's over hyped nonsense ...it was American and karzai love for India, Pakistan didn't want an Indian proxy on our western border... it's not our fault if Americans are too dumb to understand that Jeffersonian type democracy doesn't work in primitive societies like Afghanistan.

Xenophobia off the charts.
That post has nothing to do with xenophobia. Its just actual facts of the current situation . Opposing taliban and their sympathisers is rather a sign of basic human decency.

And if opposing terrorists who blow off Mosques, Men, Women, Children, Army personnel on daily basis in Pakistan is "Xenophobic" according to you then be your own guest.

No but the regular army is full of Punjabis. This is going to hurt Pakistan and India is going to milk it. There is already Punjab vs rest of Pakistan tension that I have never seen before. Karachiites and Baluchis hated Pakistan army since the Bhutto days. Now pathans hate them. Azad Kashmiris are gong to hate them . Very quickly pak army will be known as Punjab army. You wants to bet that there is going ti be more and more attacks on Pakistan . You are living in a fools paradise
A full 30% of the Pakistan Armed Forces are Pakhtun.

Almost 90% of all FC North manpower [~40+ wings (each wing is equivalent to a battalion)] is Pakhtun.

Some of our very best officers, in the most sensitive, upwardly mobile appointments in the military are Pakhtuns.

Pakistan Armed forces are a good representation of the population of the country.

100%, it was after the BLA side quest and sudden prediction from their think tanks about dismemberment that around 2005 (if I remember correctly) that Pakistan decided to bring change again, before it had pretty much accepted the situation in Afghanistan.
