Pakistan has always considered Afghanistan its backyard and has decades long experience working with the groups now running Afghanistan. Why are they struggling to eliminate key TTP commanders there?

Israel which had a vastly limited engagements in Iran is able to get almost hourly updates on the movements of the Iranian leadership and has been able to eliminate them fairly successfully.

Either the ISI is not as experienced as claimed or these strikes are performative with no clear strategic goals. It’s easy to bomb bases of a country with no Air Force or air defense systems. The actual impact is measured in number of top commanders eliminated.

Role of ISI is to prevent threats generating from other countries.

Role of Army is to ensure Pakistan's borders are safe and respond to open and declared enemy attacks.

Role of FC is to supplement interior ministry in ensuring safety and security in emergency situations (wars, national emergencies etc).

Role of Airforce and Air defence division is to prevent attacks from air and respond to them.

Role of Police is to ensure public order and safety.


Understand these. KPK police can only do what it is supposed to do.

Role of isi is internal security espionage and monitoring and kidnapping of Pakistanis

I doubt isi does anything regarding threat from other countries or even militant threats inside the country

If it does, then its the most incompetent organization but if you go by my definition then its one of the most competent organizations

I dont want to malign isi hence i am going to believe what i said, i.e ISI is number 1 since it has done an incredible job in controlling Pakistan politics and narratives

For example it spent alot of time kidnapping a Twitter journalist from canda as that is far more important then keeping an eye on TTP activities on major highways in Pakistan
