Operation Ghazab Lil Haq (Pakistan - Afghanistan War)

bro, with that single strike at "Camp Phoenix"... we have pretty much lost the narrative war
they are LITERALLY believing what the Afghandu cavemen are saying all over social media

just damn, i wasn't familiar with their propaganda game
What Narrative War? This isn't Iran vs Israel, no narrative will help or hinder us. We can continue to pound them till qiyamah, and no one can or will tell us otherwise.

In the end, we need to talk. I hope people with high viewership and officials won't paddle bull**it like we killed 500 druggies etc. In fact, ISPR should say that we are investigating and we can't think of killing any civilians.
Stories/narrative travel through space and time. These erupt somewhere else (like in the EU) and decades later.
I am amazed that we hate Afghans so much that we celebrate innocent killings. If they were purely TTPs, then it was something else.
The anger comes out stronger because I believe firstly many in Pakistan feel like they have been passive observers and then secondly they are fundamentally well wishers but then receive death in return, and now suddenly many emotions are being released at once

It feels like something very crafty has happened because now that Pakistan is retaliating it is made to seem like it is comparable to Gaza or ovseemhe top excessive, when in reality the complaint has been too passive

To be honest is even Iranian missiles into Tel Aviv publicized as negatively?

This tells you that the dichotomy of an assertive Pakistan securing its strategic space makes many people uncomfortable

The only narrative war that matters really is your own citizens not falling for propaganda intended to paralyse you or disrupt you

Bradford cavemen idolisers and Arab militant idolisers don't really matter

Rest your diplomacy with foreign governments will clarify facts, leverage, etc

First they said don't you dare cross the durand line or else.

Then they said don't you dare attack Kabul or else.

Now they are crying like a bitch.

Problem with these taliban is they think they are superior to Pakistanis. They have a chip on their shoulder and are extremely insecure since Pakistan was created.

That's why they have been poking away ever since. Trying to craft rebellions, take some land or dominate people of FATA and beyond.

They are desperate for a feeling of superiority and authority.

What happened with their partnership with OBL and post 9/11 attacks on Pakistan through their proxies was a manifestion of this mindset.

Once you understand this you will understand their psyche.

Just glass them and it get it over with.
The kindness was taken for weakness

Also remember that they could play the religious card and this has a certain influencing hold on many people subconsciously, it's the type of intelligence these guys do have

Effectively Pakistani society had created emotional and physical road blocks in confronting what the Afghan taliban are.

Say it quietly but now Pakistan has to unpick this right now

Capturing some land will be important here not because I endorsed territorial expansion, but the mental gymnastics the afghan's will have to do to go from thinking peshawar can be taken to hang on the fight is Afghanistan and the borders

PAF should keep going. The world really couldn't care less about what is going on in Kabul at the moment. The Middle East war, global oil prices, Trump's shenanigans. This is what the world is focusing on. BBC, Al Jazeera can say what they want but we have a great opportunity to keep punishing the terrorists without global attention.

Taliban 1.0 was the set up that ended up with Afghanistan after Soviets withdrew. They were the ones who murdered Najeebullah. Many of the Taliban 1.0 included people who fought in the Afghan Jihad against the Soviets aided by Pakistan and supported by Saudi/US aid. Perhaps you may not know the individuals involved but I can name a long list who morphed from Afghan jihad against the Soviets to the Taliban 1.0 setup.

Second, these are not "myopic" views. You need to read the TTP publications which clearly state what their mission and goals are and they have a significant following in KPK. You cannot tell me that my view is "myopic" when you are unable to read the landscape yourself. Let me explain what I meant by that. We are not living in the "hypothetical" or the "theoretical" space with what the TTP and Afghan Taliban would do/could do because we have already seen what they tried to do in Swat and the adjacent areas and we saw that manifested in Afghanistan after ISAF departure. This is the reason Afghan Taliban are unwilling to give up on TTP. They could easily neuter the TTP by telling them to live peacefully in Afghanistan and stop attacking Pakistan. The fact that they let them attack is tied to the Taliban 2.0 ideology which is to expand their influence and interpretation of Sharia into Pakistan proper. This should be clearly understood by ALL Pakistanis.

Let me grant, IK and PTI did what made sense for them then. Do the same now and grant that Pakistan and GoP are now doing what makes sense for the country today. The situation on the ground is different today than it was in the past. Also, the Taliban in Afg. of today are no longer the people who aligned with Pakistan earlier.

You just trying to twist the words, let's be very clear here, Taliban as a movement got nothing to do with Afghan Jihad that was fought against soviet. They were basically madrassas students from Afghanistan and also in Pakistan. Hell, even places which got nothing to do with Pashtun heartlands like karachi were many volunteered to join. How do I know? I seen it firsthand. Few of my friends fought for Taliban 1.0, one of them took daisy cutter, and non was pashtun or fought against Soviets. There were no Taliban at the withdrawal of Soviets. Infact you had the coalition government of the likes of hikmatyaar, masood, rabbani and all which was formed in peshawar. When that experiment failed and all these warlords went against each other, only after that Taliban came about. Its intellectual dishonesty to link them with the Jihad against Soviets.

I hate to say this, I actually predict the current chain of events like 2 years ago when present military regime came to power, on how focus will turn back to west and east will be put in the cold storage. Where is Kashmir? Is anyone even bothered? What going on with IWT? These were supposedly our core issues but people have been sensitised and made numb to them by the military regimes of past and present. Some rag tags in East have been made our top national security issue. Really? Have we gone this low that whole national narrative of security posture will be defined by some cave man wearing sandals? OR , maybe this is all by design!

Throughout the wot 1.0, it was our narrative that TTA and TTP are different entities so much so that rat in East, Modi, famously said that there are no good or bab Talibans. I don't know what the average age of Generali touts here, but this is not in distant past. Have people forgotten about "Quetta shura"? This Mullah Ackunzada, the incumbent cheif, was part of that Quetta shura, do I need to remind you how TTA has been running and controlled from after the demise of Mullah Umer? These are not decades old events, just happened couple of years ago. It's just people pretend to have memory of goldfish in their cultist institutional loyalty, they just ignore elephant in the room.

If we cannot tame the beast that we ourselves created, then its a failure of those who are responsible for it. If you can't fight proxy wars, don't indulge in one. Look at Iran, going through absolute sh!t storm, but all her proxies are still standing firm beside her. Be it in mesopotamia, Eastern Mediterranean or bab el mandeb. We on the other hand, manage to screw up right in our neighbourhood. Do I need to explain this to you in some other way?

That is where true sensibility and morality are checked. Such as when provoked, we can keep our cool as much as possible. The true test lies in such an environment.
The era near end of times will be very dubious. The mixing of truth and falsehood (دجل dajjal ).
Actually, TTA and TTP thought that they could win in Pakistan just as they had won in Afghanistan. The issue is that TTP's core ideology is subconsciously acceptable in the entire Pakistan (that no law will be made against Islam). Listen Bajur people jirga who went for dialogue.

On top of that, GHQ thought that if we didn't fight and let them come back as a resolution of hostilities through dialogue, etc.
