Seems like a ceasefire is coming, the only question is if this is due to the US-Iran talks to be held in Islamabad, or if they want to actually end operations here for a while.

Ending it for good doesn't make sense, it is extremely premature, would need some kind of tangible gains instead of abrupt end.

What expertise do Pakistani ulema have to broker a complex peace negotiation? Were they commanding the troops and actively responding to enemy's aggression?

The only reason I can find is "they have beards we have beards so let us talk to them?"

Pakistani state should not give this much role and space to "Ulema", it makes it hard when you tell them "Go there if you love them this much".
