If they were able to read the situation, they wouldn't make enmity with Pakistan. I did not want to but looking at the situation now, I would like this hybrid setup to continue for some period till everything we are involved in is concluded.

Not sure why China is pushing for this. These TTP scums along with their BLA brethren have repeatedly attacked Chinese interests inside Pakistan resulting in the loss of Chinese lives. If anything they should be helping us tackle this menace and not push us for useless talks.

Beijing in my opinion rushed to try and get this resolved - Pakistan cannot afford frozen conflict on western border with hostile power inside Kabul. China understands this but was cautiously optimistic that money flow will motivate Talibs, China doesn't understand the Talib mindset.

Beijing in my opinion rushed to try and get this resolved - Pakistan cannot afford frozen conflict on western border with hostile power inside Kabul. China understands this but was cautiously optimistic that money flow will motivate Talibs, China doesn't understand the Talib mindset.

We are far more experienced in politics and conflicts of this region than Chinese. They may be under the impression that there is no alternate to current occupiers of Kabul and may be this conflict is seen as an obstacle for their greater connectivity initiatives and may be they are okay with losing handful of engineers every now and then. Plus they may think that if we they can manage to please TTA, it will help them with keeping Xinjiang in their control and maintaining peace there.

Strange that they do not think TTA are almost a proxy of india.

biggest problem is they are locally dress fisherman . if you hit them thsy syart crying missing person killing of baloch etc they just cover face fire and just vainsh in public and become one of many . it need comprehensive planning . .

Everything is done unprofessionally in so many instances concerning Pakistan Coast Guard. The CG are operating without a worry in the world. Usually a perimeter of a certain distance would be set and communicated to the local fishermen to not approach any government boats/ships etc. The boat itself is a commercial one with no armor/MGs mounted. Clueless CG personnel are patrolling without a thought about the potential threat and have paid for it dearly with their lives.

The same situation at the CG post earlier. Not a single personnel watching the post in a ready position to take on militants. Walking around without their weapons (in contrast to US/Israeli troops, including officers, always walking with their weapons by their sides just in case).

For as long as Pakistan has been in this GWOT, a lot of Pakistani security forces remain poorly trained to handle the threat of terrorism. You see civilians (who could easily be terrorists) walking close to security posts/checkpoints with not a worry in the world on the part of the personnel manning the posts. What goes on land is clearly being extended on to the seas with this casual, lackadaisical attitude around force protection. Pretty dismal!

They were probably very close to the coast and were shot by land elements. I don't think this was a drone and they don't have any anti-ship missile capability.
