Seems like a decision has been made that as long as the situation in the main heartland in Punjab is in control, the peripheries and the folks living there can go to hell.

The Police in Ziarat fought on for hours. No air support nor any ground support. Ziarat is a major town if not a big city. Its not a far flung remote village. Now hearing reports that the 19 kidnapped policemen have been executed.

Name me a single country in Asia that is having a complete security breakdown as Pakistan is in 50% of its territory. The situation is comparable to Mali, Sudan or Congo.

Name me a leadership where in the face of that breakdown, it is more interested to be the face of international diplpmacy while ignoring what is hapening in its own backyard.

Feels like a run up to 1971, Pakistan faciliated the US-China reprochment in July of 1971 to all fanfare.

In Dec of that very year, thousands of its troops were surrendering in masse to its arch enemy.
