In the escalation ladder, we will eventually bomb the talib headquarters and take out the head of snake. But our elites are afraid if the afghandoos carry our suicide attacks in mainland Punjab, so it will always be a controlled escalation since that's what we are really scared of.

I know folks won't like this fact here but it is absolutely true. The establishment wants to keep the big brother safe so this circus will continue until we get a next cdf who might have a different policy.

Nothing will happen. I have given up hope of Pakistan ever seriously dealing with Afghanistan. A bunch of illiterate tribals have checkmated Pakistan. This is the sad reality. We are better off letting KPK go. Let them live how they want so we can progress without that albatross around our necks.

Will never happen, sadly. It's more likely that the radical clowns take KPK (more or less done, govt has no writ there) and more territory than it is that the government will go all in.

Unless Pakistan ups the ante and make losses in Afghanistan unbearable for their leadership, these attacks won't stop.

I don't know what's the strategy here but clearly it has failed to deter Afghan-supported bombings.

A prolonged high value targeting campaign is necessary here but I don't know if it's sustainable for Pakistan right now.
